The Indian cricket team is on a high after decimating Australia in the third Test match in Melbourne and taking a 2-1 lead in the four-match Border-Gavaskar Test series.

However, before they carry out their next assignment, the players led by their inspirational captain Virat Kohli conveyed their New Year wishes to fans from Australia. (Also Read: Virat Kohli equals Sourav Ganguly's record of most away Test wins as India captain)
Kohli took the lead on social media and shared some romantic pictures with wife Anushka Sharma. "Happy New Year to everyone back home and all over the world, all the way from Australia. Have a wonderful year ahead God bless everyone," Kohli wrote on Twitter.
Kohli was joined by Anushka in Australia ahead of their first wedding anniversary on December 11, 2018.
The year 2018 was another phenomenal year for Kohli, who finished as the leading international run-scorer for the third straight time. Kohli scored 2,653 runs at an average of 69.81 and also led the team to the top of ICC Test rankings.
Meanwhile, Kohli's teammates too took to social media to wish their fans on the New Year.
