With just a day to go for the Indian Premier League 2019 player auction, India fast bowler Varun Aaron is hopeful of getting picked by a team after an impressive show in the English County Cricket this year.

In an exclusive chat with IndiaTV, Aaron spoke highly of County Cricket and said that the stint has helped him improve his game.

"County cricket improved my game. The things I wanted to improve upon helped me and going to England helped me focus and take an insight on what I wanted to do," Aaron told IndiaTV.

The IPL auction will take place in Jaipur, Rajasthan at 02.30 PM IST on Tuesday (December 18). It will be an opportunity for every franchise to buy the key players with right strategy in order to complete their respective squads. There will be a total of 346 cricketers going under the hammer in this auction.

Aaron, who has been playing IPL from quite a few years now, is confident of getting an IPL contract and is ready to give his 100 per cent for the team which would pick him.

"Ready for the IPL. Really confident of playing for a team that needs me the most, I want to contribute for whichever team I am picked for," he said.

The 29-year-old said IPL is a great platform for all young players who want to showcase their talent. Aaron went down memory lane and talked about the days when his performance for the Virat Kohli-led Royal Challengers Bangalore helped him earn an India comeback.

With the upcoming IPL season, he is again aiming to make his return for the Indian team.

"Obviously you perform well in the IPL then it may get you into the Indian cricket team. In 2014, I was the highest wicket-taker for RCB and I was selected for the England series. So I am ready for the IPL as it's a platform which can help me get back into the Indian team," he concluded.
