Team India players Suresh Raina, KL Rahul, Vijay Shankar, Washington Sundar and Rishab Pant took out time from their hectic schedule to relax in a pool ahead of the Nidahas Trophy 2018 finals. The Rohit Sharma led Team India have had a blast in the tournament so far and on reaching the finals of the Tri-Nation series, the Men in Blue can sit back and relax while Sri Lanka and Bangladesh battle it out for the final spot on March 16.
India surprisingly lost their first match against Sri Lanka in the opener of the tournament, but the neighbours bounced back and have won three matches to enter the finals. India won the two matches they have faced against Bangladesh whereas they have won one match and lost one match to Sri Lanka.
The Board of Control for Cricket of India's (BCCI) official twitter handle uploaded a picture where the Team India players are seen working out in the pool. Yes that's correct. It's not just leisure, but a way the players are being trained as they gear up for the finals on March 18, however, the players are tempted to have a bit of a splash around.
Washington Sundar, KL Rahul, Suresh Raina, Vijay Shankar and Rishab Pant were seen together in the pool. Take a look.
After their lengthy and arduous workout, the Men in Blue gathered for a formal event and sure look dapper as the staff and players posed for a picture.
The Rohit Sharma led Team India have impressed as their key players have been rested by the BCCI. Skipper Virat Kohli, MS Dhoni, Hardik Pandya, Jasprit Bumrah, Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Kuldeep Yadav were rested as the board sent on a young and budding squad with opener Rohit leading the pack and they have performed exceptionally well so far in the Tri-Nation series.
With Suresh Raina back in the pack after a year, the Uttar Pradesh swashbuckler has made most of the opportunities so far and has been pouncing on the opposition when he is fed his deliveries. The T20 specialist has been on song since his call-up in the tour of South Africa with just a few weeks left before the Indian Premier League (IPL 2018) kicks-off, Raina is making sure that leaves an impact where ever he goes from here on.
Teenage all-rounder Washington Sundar has left the batsmen dazed so far with his performances with the ball whereas skipper Rohit somehow managed to end his dry spell with the bat by knocking 89 runs off 61 balls, hitting five 4's and five 6's.
The lower-batting order is in good hands as Manish Pandey and Dinesh Karthik took care of matters against the match against Sri Lanka where as bowlers Sundar, Vijay Shankar and Shardul Thakur have added a new twist to their bowling, giving their neighbours a new taste of their attacking unit.
As Sri Lanka and Bangladesh lock horns to secure the final spot against India in the finals of the Nidahas Trophy 2018, the Men in Blue take out time to relax ahead of the summit clash on March 18.
