Umesh Yadav wrapped up the West Indies innings early on the game of day two of second Test match in Hyderabad. Umesh picked his best bowling figures in Test and registered his name in Indian record books by becoming the first Indian pacer to take a six-wicket haul at home in this century in Tests. 'Umesh Express' was on fire on day 2 and picked all the three wickets including the important one of centurion Roston Chase who completed his fourth Test century and guided Windies to a respectable total of 311 runs in Hyderabad.

It was the second five-wicket haul for the 30-year old pacer in Test cricket. Kuldeep Yadav also picked up three wickets while Ravichandran Ashwin took only one. Umesh figures were also 13th best for an Indian pacer at home. On day one, West Indies were in peril again at 113-5 and 182-6, but Chase and captain Jason Holder rescued them with a 104-run stand.

It was the best passage of batting by West Indies in this brief series, especially after the hapless twin innings in the three-day first test at Rajkot. Holder reached his eighth test half-century off 85 balls with their 100-stand coming off 176 deliveries.

Five overs before stumps on day one, Holder was caught behind playing at Umesh Yadav, and India were back in business.
