The 'Dada' of Indian cricket, Sourav Ganguly, recently wished Harbhajan Singh and his family on a picture of their visit to the Golden Temple in Amritsar. The off-spinner uploaded an image on Twitter with his wife Geeta Basra and daughter at the shrine and Ganguly couldn't resist but to bless the happy family. However, the former captain made an honest mistake.
Harbhajan visited the Golden Temple along with his wife Geeta Basra and daughter Hinaya Heer Plaha and posted a picture with the caption - Satnam Shri Waheguru ji .. sab nu khush te tandrust rakhna malka #Blessings #blessed #shukrana @Geeta_Basra.
Ganguly commented on the family picture but goofed up big time.
"@harbhajan_singh ..beta bahut sundar hai bhajj..bahut pyar dena (Son is very beautiful, lots of love)," Ganguly said.
However, after realising that Harbhajan's child is a girl, the former skipper soon apologised with the caption- "@harbhajan_singh .. maf karna beti bahut sundoor hai..getting old bhajj" .. (Forgive me for the mistake, your daughter is very beautiful. Getting old Bhajj)
Ganguly's comment was an honest mistake as Bengali's do make mistakes when it comes to translating their native language to Hindi.
After this hilarious mix-up, Harbhajan's reply was - "Dada thank you for your blessings..love to Sana.. hope to see u soon".
The duo share a special bond on and off-field as it was Ganguly's captaincy that Harbhajan flourished as one of India's best off-spinners.
