Australian cricket team is facing some tough time from past few months and their recent defeat against arch-rivals England in the ODI series is making the case even worse. England thrashed Australia in the third ODI on Tuesday by a mammoth 242 runs to seal the 5-match series. Not only this, England extended its own record in ODI cricket by 37 runs after smashing the highest-ever total of 481-6. Australia was bowled out for 239 with 13 overs to spare — its biggest ODI defeat in terms of runs and England's largest ODI win. Before the match, the Australian team faced a downfall in recent ICC ODI rankings. The Kangaroos are on the sixth spot - their lowest ever in 34 years - in the latest rankings which is building more and more pressure on Cricket Australia. This has been one of the worst years for the Aussie side, as their prominent match winners Steve Smith and David Warner were suspended for one year after the scandalous ball-tampering incident in South Africa earlier this year. After the whole case, resignation of coach Darren Lehmann was also a major setback for the team. The new coach Justin Langer now has a huge responsibility to handle the team in such crisis. The appointment of new captain Tim Paine has also raised many eyebrows. (MATCH SCORECARD)
Australia's recent 242-run defeat has left the whole world shocked and the Australians fans couldn't believe what just happened in the match. Former Australian players Shane Warne and Michael Clarke also showed their anger on Twitter after the match.
Former Aussie Leg spinner Warner tweeted: "Just woke up and saw the score in England. What the hell happened over there & what is going on boys ? Gulp....."
While former Kangaroo skipper Clarke too couldn't resist showing his disappointment and he tweeted: "Morning ???????"
On the other hand, former England captain Michael Vaughan made a mockery of the Australian team in a series of tweets.
He tweeted: "Declare England" then later put up a post on Instagram, saying: "Morning Australia"
He made fun of the Aussie batsmen by tweeting, "I hope England enforce the follow on ..."
At last, he degraded the current Kangaroo side by tweeting, "This reminds me off my One day team playing against the Aussies ..... Men against boys ...... #OnOn"
