After enthralling cricket fans world over with his exemplary cricket skills, 'God of Cricket' - Sachin Tendulkar turned chef on New Year's Eve to cook a delicious meal for his family and friends. A self-proclaimed foodie, Tendulkar has wowed his fans for more than two decades on the 22-yard strip. After retiring from cricket four years ago in 2013, the former batsman has been involved in many off-field activities ranging from being involved in some social work to motivating youngsters to chase their dreams in the real world.
Tendulkar posted the video on his official Twitter handle where he was seen barbecuing the pieces of meat on a grill while struggling with the heat it emitted. The video shows the master blaster going about his culinary activities with a great deal of concentration and exhibiting the same level of excitement he displayed on the cricket field.

And he added that his friends are still licking the fingers: "It was a pleasure to cook for my friends on New Year's Eve. I am glad all of them enjoyed and are still licking their fingers. Hope you all had a great New Year's Eve as well. Wishing you all a fantastic 2018. Stay blessed always."
Earlier, the maestro was in the news for not being able to deliver his first-ever Rajya Sabha speech. After failing to do so, he took to social media to reach the masses and said: "It is my endeavour to transform India from being a sport loving nation to a sport playing nation. I urge you all to participate in this effort and help make my dream, our dream. Always remember, dreams do come true."
He promoted the idea of playing and talked about the idea of sports in an individuals life.
"There were few things that I wanted to speak about yesterday (in the parliament) and I will try to do the same now. I often wondered what brought me here. Little did I know that those baby steps in cricket will lead me to a lifetime of memories. I always loved playing sports and cricket was my life," Sachin said in the video.
"My father Ramesh Tendulkar was a poet and a writer. He always supported me and encouraged me to become what I wanted to be in life. The greatest gift that I got from him was the freedom to play... the right to play and I will forever be grateful to him for that," he added.
