If cricket is a religion in India than Sachin Tendulkar is the unanimous God we have been worshipping since our birth and will continue to so till our last breath. And, what’s more, interesting if that same God finds a similarity between himself and his believer. Yes, you heard that right.

In his latest Instagram post to support the women in blue, the Master Blaster has recently shown her likeliness towards Indian pacer Mansi Joshi who is a part of the India squad currently participating in the ICC Women’s World Cup 2017 in England.

Tendulkar wrote: “MEET #MansiJoshi - Mansi and I have one thing in common … we both love Kishore Kumar songs. This young athlete, like all women athletes, faced insurmountable odds to get where she is today. It has taken hard work, dedication and passion every step of the way. Keep up the enthusiasm, Mansi! We are with you. Come on, #TeamIndia! All the best, #WomenInBlue! @icc @unicef #CricketForGood.”

During India’s opening match against traditional rivals Pakistan on July 2 at Derby, the 23-year old pacer bowled a match-changing spell of 6.1 overs conceded nine runs and picked up two crucial wickets including of Pakistan captain Sana Mir. Mansi last featured in the Indian playing xi against Sri Lanka.

Days before leaving for the showpiece event, pacer Mansi Joshi queued up outside a cinema in Dehradun just like all of us to watch a movie she had been eagerly waiting for. It was the movie on India’s greatest ever sportsman – Sachin Tendulkar. She doesn’t want to miss it, especially before turning up in the blue outfit for India at the ICC Women’s World Cup. Mansi also has a dream of making India proud like Tendulkar and she will have a chance to live her dream on Sunday against hosts England at the iconic Lord’s Ground.
