English journalist Piers Morgan's love-hate relationship with former India explosive opener Virender Sehwag is well documented. Both Morgan and Sehwag have had a few run-ins with each other in the past on micro-blogging site Twitter. Morgan once again tried to get under Sehwag's skin following India women's heart-breaking 9-run loss against England in the final of the ICC Women's World Cup 2017 at The Lord's on Sunday.

After the loss, Sehwag was among the millions of Indian fans who congratulated Mithali Raj's girls for playing so well in the tournament and reaching to the finals. "Super proud of the girls. Tough luck today but women's cricket in India has truly arrived. Thank you girls. Salute your spirit," Sehwag tweeted.

However, Morgan soon got into his act and fired a googly at Sehwag. "You OK, buddy @virendersehwag?," he tweeted.

But the Nawab of Najafgarh, who knows a thing or two about hitting the googlies out of the park, hammered Morgan for a six straight down the line. Sehwag reiterated that the entire nation was proud of the women's team achievement and asked Morgan to enjoy for a change.

"Me and all of India prouder even in this loss than you can ever be mate.We fought well & will only get better & stronger. Enjoy for a change!," Sehwag replied to Morgan's sarcastic jibe.

Morgan's twitter war with Sehwag started after India's performance at last year's Rio Olympics. India finished with two medals - PV Sindhu's Silver in badminton and Sakshi Malik's Bronze medal in wrestling. Morgan mocked India's performance on Twitter to which Sehwag gave a fitting reply and was hailed by one and all. The duo has regularly engaged in Twitter battles ever since and it has only got better and better. In the past, the English journalist had also challenged Sehwag for a bet of Rs one million on England winning an ODI World Cup before India get another Olympic Gold medal.
