Pakistan premier bowler Mohammad Amir, who tormented the Indian top order in the final of ICC Champions Trophy is all set to make his County debut for Essex this summer. The left-arm pacer broke the backbone of Indian batting with his searing pace and swing in the summit clash and picked up the big wickets of Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan in the first spell.

Amir missed the important semi-final against England due to back spasm from which he later recovered.

As per Geo news, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Tuesday issued a No Objection Certificate (NOC) to Amir for featuring in English county cricket later this season.

The left-arm pacer will represent Essex in the NatWest T20 Blast, England and Wales' Cricket Board's (ECB) T20 league.

Amir's team-mate Junaid Khan has also been issued an NOC by the PCB to play for Leicestershire County this year.
