On Virat Kohli’s 30th birthday, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) posted a special message for the Indian skipper on the social media on Monday. Former captain and wicketkeeper-batsman MS Dhoni led the wishes in the video and revealed one of Kohli's secrets.
According to Dhoni, the current Indian skipper is a big fan of PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds, an online multiplayer game also known as PUBG. Mentioning his love for the video game, Dhoni showed a childhood picture of Kohli holding a gun in his hands.
"Hi, Virat. Wish you a very, very happy birthday. I know you’re a big PUBG fan because I just found this cool picture of yours. So why don’t you come and teach Manish Pandey, especially, how to play a first-person shooting game," Dhoni said in the video.
This is not the first time Dhoni has displayed his fondness for the multiplayer game, earlier also the BCCI had posted a photo in which Indian players were seen playing PUBG along with the wicketkeeper-batsman.
While all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja who is Kohli's teammate since his Under-19 days took a dig on his food diet and said, "Score lot of runs. I think you should start eating more roti, rice and sweets."
No 1-ranked ODI bowler Jasprit Bumrah also wished his skipper in the video, following which the young brigade of Indian cricketers joined in. Shreyas Iyer, Washington Sundar, Khaleel Ahmed and Shabaz Nadeem were a few who expressed warm wished for Kohli on his 30th birthday.
Kohli is rested for the ongoing T20I series against West Indies and will return on the Australia tour for three T20I, four Tests and five ODIs, to be played later this month.
