As Harmanpreet Kaur was belting the Australian bowlers all over the park in the second semi-final of ICC Women’s World Cup on Thursday in Derby, India’s women’s team captain Mithali Raj and teammate Veda Krishnamurthy were caught on camera in a jovial mood while sitting on the sidelines watching all the action. Harmanpreet’s memorable knock deflated Australia's strong bowling unit in the big match and lifted the whole mood of the Indian camp.

The video shows 24-year old Veda explaining some dance moves to her ever so cheerful skipper Mithali Raj who is known for her ice cool demeanour on and off the field. However, as soon as they both suddenly realised that they had been caught on camera, the duo burst into laughter. The video was uploaded by the official Twitter handle of Women's World Cup (@cricketworldcup).

Mithali is rated among the best batters in the world. Often termed as the ‘golden girl of Indian cricket’ – Mithali has scripted various records with the bat during her 18-year long international career.

In the ongoing Women’s World Cup, she becomes the leading run-scorer in women's ODIs going past England’s Charlotte Edwards in the batting list. She also becomes the first woman cricketer to scale the peak of 6,000 ODI runs. Mithali is also the second highest run-getter in the World Cup 2017, she has scored 392 runs in 8 innings.

Whereas, Veda played a match-changing knock of 70 off just 45 balls in India’s last league encounter against New Zealand that helped the women in blue to post a solid total of 265 on board.

India will take on England on July 23 at Lord's in the summit clash.
