Having married recently in a grand but secret wedding in Italy, cricketer Virat Kohli and actress Anushka Sharma didn't feel shy to share moments of their first New Year after tying the knot.
"Wishing you all a very happy, healthy and prosperous New year. Love and light to all," Kohli captioned a picture he posted on Twitter.
The newly-wed couple is currently spending some time together in South Africa, where the Indian skipper is scheduled to lead the side for upcoming series that includes three Tests, six ODIs and three T20Is.
The first Test will be played in Cape Town, starting January 5.
Earlier the cricket-Bollywood pair was spotted shopping together on the streets of Cape Town. Despite having a combined net worth of over Rs.600 crore, Kohli and Anushka were spotted shopping from a store that was offering heavy discounts on the occasion of New Year.
The 29-year-old has always been vocal about his love for the 'Sultan' actress. In fact, he broke the wedding news through a lovely message for his fans, complimenting his life partner.
"Today we have promised each other to be bound in love forever. We are truly blessed to share the news with you.This beautiful day will be made more special with the love and support of our family of fans & well-wishers. Thank you for being such an important part of our journey," he had tweeted.
