IPL 2019, SRH vs CSK, Match 33: Hello and welcome to our live coverage of the Indian Premier League as Sunrisers Hyderabad host Chennai Super Kings live at the Rajiv Gandhi International stadium in Hyderabad. Going after the 131 set by Chennai Super Kings, Sunrisers Hyderabad started off in blazing fashion scoring more than 65 runs by the time the Powerplay ended with their in-form opener David Warner getting to his fifty in 23 balls. He fell the very next ball but he had already put his side in commanding position. The skipper, Williamson failed with the bat but Warner's opening partner, Bairstow had another good outing and got to his first fifty of the League, while ensuring that the game was completed with ease. About the Chennai bowling, well not much can be said as the total to be defended was too low. Tahir was brilliant once more and the spinners did do their best but the opening blast that they faced meant this night was going to belong to Hyderabad.

Hyderabad vs Chennai, Match 33: SRH (137/4) beat CSK (132/5) in Hyderabad

23.30 IST: That's all from here! Join us tomorrow again for the big derby!

23.24 IST: Going after the 131 set by Chennai, the hosts started off in blazing fashion scoring more than 65 runs by the time the Powerplay ended with their in-form opener David Warner getting to his fifty in 23 balls.

23.21 IST: A simple chase in the end. The total looked well under par and it did end up being that way as Hyderabad have coasted to an easy victory and brought their 3-match losing run to an end. Warner set the platform with a blazing fifty, his opening partner batted through till the end and ensured that there were no hiccups as the game was finished with more than 3 overs left. Chennai meanwhile have been stunned and lost their second game of the season, and terribly missed their original skipper, MS Dhoni who was rested in this game due to a back strain.

23.17 IST: Karn Sharma to Jonny Bairstow, SIX! Bairstow does finish it off in style! This is fuller and on middle, he easily lofts it over the long on fence for a biggie. Customary handshakes taking place as HYDERABAD WIN BY 6 WICKETS!

23.16 IST: Karn Sharma to Deepak Hooda, OUT!
Hooda holes out! He tries to finish it off in style. He uses his feet and looks to go downtown. The ball turns a little, he ends up slicing it towards long off where Faf takes an easy catch.

23.16 IST: Karn Sharma to Deepak Hooda, FOUR!  2 more needed now. Steps down the track and goes inside out over covers for a boundary.

23.12 IST: Strategic time-out! Hyderabad have ensured that the quick wickets of Warner and Williamson has not affected the chase and they have built on the super platform that was laid for them. Shankar did fall but Bairstow's calm and composed knock has ensured victory is within touching distance. Meanwhile, Chennai will need a miracle to win this one and for once, an Indian T20 League game seems to be finishing early and not being a cliffhanger. Some relief for all the high blood pressure people!

23.08 IST: Shardul Thakur to Jonny Bairstow, DROPPED! A tough chance though, especially for Watson. This is short and on middle, Bairstow goes for the pull but the ball sticks in the surface a little. It goes off the bottom to the right of mid-wicket. Watson there takes a few steps towards the ball, dives, gets a hand to it but can't hang on. The batsmen take a run.

23.07 IST: Shardul Thakur back on for CSK

23.06 IST: Karn Sharma to Jonny Bairstow, FIFTY! Too easy for Bairstow. He gets another one on his pads, he clips it in the gap in the square leg region and takes two. It also brings his 50 up, a hard-fought innings by him but he would be happier if he stays till the end. 17 more needed.

22.58 IST: Deepak Hooda is the new man in

22.56 IST: Imran Tahir to Vijay Shankar, OUT! Imran Tahir strikes! One would wonder why was Raina looking to hold his one over back? Well, he gets him on, Tahir strikes but it maybe a little too late. The leg spinner on off, Shankar lunges and tries to defend but the slightest of turns, takes the outside edge and Billings takes a good catch behind.

22.52 IST: Karn Sharma to Jonny Bairstow, SIX! Into the 40s is Bairstow. This is tossed up nicely but it is a little too full. JB slog sweeps it over the wide long on fence. Second maximum in the over.

22.51 IST: Karn Sharma to Jonny Bairstow, SIX! A flat one! Short and on middle, Bairstow goes onto the back foot quickly and then nails the pull. It flies over the mid-wicket fence.

22.51 IST: Karn Sharma is the new ball for CSK

22.48 IST: Ravindra Jadeja to Jonny Bairstow, FOUR! Excellent use of the feet! Steps down the track, also makes room and then smashes it over the bowler's head for a boundary.

22.44 IST: Strategic time-out! Hyderabad are cruising here and will look to get it done inside 15 overs. Bairstow and Warner's opening start has put them in the driver's seat. On the other hand, Chennai need more wickets to make a comeback into the match. Ravindra Jadeja to start after the break

22.38 IST: Vijay Shankar is the new man in

22.37 IST: Imran Tahir to Kane Williamson, OUT! CAUGHT AND BOWLED! One brings two and that is exactly the case for the visitors here. Tahir gets his first. A soft, soft dismissal. This is slightly shorter and on off, the ball sticks into the surface. Williamson looks to work it around the corner but then looks to check his shot. The ball hits the bottom half and then lobs towards the bowler who takes it. Hyderabad have a sniff here, they are into the fragile middle order of Hyderabad.

22.32 IST: Kane Williamson is the new man in

22.31 IST: Deepak Chahar to David Warner, OUT! CAUGHT! End of the entertainment! Warner continues to find the boundaries. This time he goes after a very full ball on middle, does not get under it and hence, no elevation on this one. He hits it straight to mid off where Faf takes an easy catch. The opener though has done his job. Chennai on the other hand, need two or three quickly to get back in the game.

22.29 IST: Deepak Chahar to David Warner, FOUR!
Not right off the middle but still gets a boundary. Short and on middle, Warner goes for the pull, it hits the toe-end and goes over the bowler's head for a boundary. Also, that brings up the 50 for Warner. The opener has done the job and taken all the pressure off for the hosts.

22.29 IST: Deepak Chahar to David Warner, FOUR! Too easy! Poor bowling. Slow and on the body, Warner this time waits for it, swivels and pulls it over short fine leg for a one bounce boundary.

22.25 IST: Imran Tahir
to David Warner, FOUR! Third in a row! Tahir bowls it a little too full this time, Warner leans into the stroke and drives it through covers for another boundary.

22.25 IST: Imran Tahir to David Warner, FOUR! This time on the other side! The reverse sweep is out, he connects it brilliantly, over point for consecutive fours. 50 is up and Hyderabad are cruising.

22.25 IST: Imran Tahir to David Warner, FOUR! Up and over! Warner is in a hurry to end this game. He is down on one knee and goes for the slog sweep. Connects well and the ball goes over square leg for a boundary.

22.24 IST: Imran Tahir introduced into the attack

22.22 IST: Shardul Thakur to David Warner, FOUR! Consecutive boundaries from David Warner. Full on off, Warner drives it beautifully through covers for a boundary. 12 runs have come from the over. Big over for Hyderabad and poor bowling from Chennai.

22.22 IST: Shardul Thakur to David Warner, FOUR! Powerful shot from David Warner. Full toss and outside off, Warner smashes it through covers for a boundary.

22.16 IST: Deepak Chahar to David Warner, FOUR! Poor ball! Wide outside off and really short as well. Warner reaches out and hits it out over the head of cover. The ball once again finds the rope. Lots of pressure on the bowler.

22.15 IST:  Deepak Chahar to David Warner, FOUR! Three slower balls in a row. Warner reads this ball and waits for it to come before lifting it over the head of Deepak Chahar. The ball runs away to the fence.

22.11 IST: Shardul Thakur to David Warner, FOUR! A good effort from Tahir at third man goes in vain! A length ball wide outside off, Warner goes for the slash but gets a thick outside edge and the ball flies wide of third man. Tahir runs to his left and tries to stop it with a dive but cannot do so. Flying start so far for the Men in Orange in the chase.

22.11 IST: Shardul Thakur to Jonny Bairstow, FOUR!Magnificent shot! Hit into the pitch and above the head of the bowler. A length ball on middle, Bairstow drives it into the pitch and the ball goes over the head of the bowler before he could get his hands up to stop that one. The ball beats mid off and races away to the rope.

22.09 IST: Shardul Thakur to bowl from the other end.

22.05 IST: Deepak Chahar to Jonny Bairstow, FOUR!Off the mark in fashion is Bairstow! The away swinger but the line is wrong. Too straight, straying onto the pads, flicked away aerially but in the gap by Jonny. No stopping that one.

22.03 IST: We are back for the chase. David Warner and Jonny Bairstow are out in the middle for Hyderabad. Deepak Chahar has the new ball in his hand. Let's play!

21.50 IST: Bhuvneshwar Kumar to Ravindra Jadeja, Lovely fielding! Just two runs on the last ball and just 5 from the last over. Jadeja finally gets one right off the middle. He hits it wide of long on. Warner makes good ground to his left, dives and saves two for his side. CHENNAI END WITH 132!

21.47 IST: Bhuvneshwar Kumar to Ravindra Jadeja, Three from the first 4 now. Short and wide outside off, Jadeja feels it is a wide and hence leaves it. The umpire does not feel so.

21.44 IST: Sandeep Sharma to Ambati Rayudu, Top class bowling! Just the single on the last ball and just the 8 from the over. Another yorker which Rayudu tries to jam out but fails to. The ball hits his bat's inside edge and then onto his pads. It rolls towards the leg side for a run.

21.42 IST: Rayudu seems to be struggling a bit here. He ran the first one hard and found it difficult while coming back for the second run. Looks like a cramp, maybe some magic spray will do the trick!

21.38 IST: Sandeep Sharma to Ambati Rayudu, NOT OUT! That is why, he is well in! He dances down the track and hits it through mid-wicket. They take one and go for the second. The throw is at the wrong end, which is the bowler's end. Sharma collects it and throws it to the keeper who collects the ball and whips the bails off. An appeal and the umpire refers it upstairs. Replays roll in and they show that Rayudu is in.

21.34 IST: Bhuvneshwar Kumar to Ambati Rayudu, FOUR! Excellently played by Rayudu. He surely holds the key for Chennai. Once again it is slightly short and Rayudu cuts it past point for a boundary.

21.30 IST: Rashid Khan to Ambati Rayudu, NOT OUT! That did not take the edge but it hit the back pad. The impact though was umpire's call. A good review in the end and it was more out of desperation. Had they got Rayudu, the last recognized batsman would have been in the hut. A rippa this one by Rashid. It is flatter and it pitches on off, it spins away sharply. Rayudu looks to defend but seems to have missed it. Rashid is appealing but the umpire shakes his head. Williamson decides to take it upstairs. Replays roll in and it shows no inside edge but the ball to be hitting the back pad. Hawk Eye shows the on-field call is the right one.

* Hyderabad take a review now but not sure for what? Maybe a caught behind. Rayudu seems relaxed.

21.27 IST: Rashid Khan to Ravindra Jadeja, This time the googly outside off, Jadeja does not pick it and pulls his bat out at the last moment.

* Strategic Break! Hyderabad have done well to bounce back and have picked 5 wickets. They have kept it tight and put pressure on Chennai batsmen. On the other hand, Chennai are losing their way after a good start from the openers. They need atleast 160 to challenge Hyderabad.

21.20 IST: Sandeep Sharma to Ambati Rayudu, FOUR! Short and put away! The slightest of width on offer and Rayudu pounces on it, he cuts it through point for a boundary.

*Ravindra Jadeja is the new batsman in.

21.14 IST: OUT! Billings walks back for a duck! Fails to make an impact on his return. The slower ball does the job for Ahmed. It is on a length and around off, Billings is a touch early in the drive. He hits it uppishly towards cover where Shankar takes it with ease. Half the side back in the hut for the visitors. from 79 for no loss, they are now 101 for 5. Into the bowling all-rounders are Hyderabad. Khaleel removes Billings for 0. CSK 101/5 in 14.4 overs

* Sam Billings is the new batsman in.

21.07 IST: OUT! Umpire's call again but Jadhav has to take the long walk back. Two in the over for Khan and Chennai now on the back foot. It is the googly which does the trick for him. It pitches outside off and turns back in. Kedar looks to flick but misses. The ball hits him on the front pad, an appeal and the umpire agrees. Jadhav reviews but replays once again show the on-field call is the right one. Rashid removes Jadhav for 1. CSK 99/4 in 13.4 overs

21.03 IST: OUT! Umpire's call and Raina has to take the long walk back. He does not take the review with him though. Rashid gets his first. However, it is not a bad review by Raina. He looks to play the slog sweep but misses to get hit on the back pad. An appeal and the umpire raises the finger. Raina reviews and replays show that the ball is clipping the top of leg stump. Chennai seem to be losing their way a little here. Rashid removes Raina for 13. CSK 97/3 in 13.1 overs

20.57 IST: Vijay Shankar to Suresh Raina, FOUR! EDGY! Once again Raina won't care as long as they come. Looks to whack Shankar across the line but only manages a top edge and over the keeper for a boundary. CSK 97/2 in 13 overs

20.55 IST: Rashid Khan to Suresh Raina, FOUR! Well played by the stand-in skipper. Not sure if that was meant to play that fine but Raina won't care! This is quicker and a little more width is offered outside off. Raina goes back and guides it past first slip for a boundary. CSK 87/2 in 11.4 overs

20.50 IST: Vijay Shankar to Ambati Rayudu, Just missed the stumps! On a good length and outside off, Rayudu looks to cut but gets an inside edge. It goes towards fine leg for a run.

* Ambati Rayudu is the new batsman in.

20.49 IST: OUT! EDGED AND TAKEN! Both the openers are back in the hut in the space of 4 balls. The change in pace did Watson in and now it is the extra bounce which gets the better of Faf. Shankar may have bent his back on this one and lands it just behind a length. Faf looks to cut but there is extra bounce and also, the ball is too close to play that. The outside edge is taken and Bairstow makes no mistake behind. Now two new batsmen for Chennai in the middle. They will have to rebuild again. Chance now for Hyderabad to put pressure on them. Shankar removes Faf du Plessis for 45. CSK 81/2 in 10.2 overs

20.45 IST: OUT! BOWLED 'EM! Nadeem strikes and isn't he a delighted man. Rightly so as he has broken the partnership which was going great guns. He does Watson in pace here. He was generally firing in the deliveries but this time slows it up. Watson is completely bamboozled, he looks to cut but misses and the ball knocks the off stump off. The opener though has done a decent job, along with his partner he has laid the foundation. Can Chennai build on this or will Hyderabad capitalize? Nadeem removes Watson for 31. CSK 79/1 in 9.4 overs

20.43 IST: SIX! Superb by Faf! CSK 78/0 in 9.3 overs

* Strategic Break! It has been a fine start by the Chennai openers and they are going at a good rate but they need to up the run rate. On the other hand, Hyderabad have been decent with their bowling but need wickets to put pressure on the visitors.

20.39 IST: Sandeep Sharma to Shane Watson, Very well bowled! A yorker on middle, not a lot the batter can do with that. He jams it down to long on for a single. This is a good over till now. 2 balls to go through.

*Sandeep Sharma is back on!

20.32 IST: FOUR! Smashed! Slightly short and on middle, Watson is quickly onto his back foot and pulls it through square leg for a boundary. CSK 59/0 in 7.1 overs

20.30 IST: How late was that played? WOW! A risk taken and it comes off. The arm ball coming in with the angle. Watson makes room, waits for it and then cuts it off the stumps through point for a boundary.

20.29 IST: SIX! On the backfoot, du Plessis pulls out a worldie.  Just over! But Faf played that so easily. Uses his feet and also makes room. Gets to the pitch of it and just lofts it over the fielder at long off. CSK 50/0 in 6.4 overs

* Shahbaz Nadeem is into the attack.

20.25 IST: FOUR! Classy shot there by Du Plessis! Faf du Plessis is dealing in boundaries here. Slightly fuller this time from Khaleel. FdP caresses it through covers. The 6th over is proving to be very expensive. SRH 38/0 in 5.5 overs

20.24 IST: SIX! That's been blasted by the South African! Faf has picked the bones out of that one. What a sound that made of the bat. It was a slower one on middle, Faf picks it, clears the front leg and pulls it over the mid-wicket fence. First of the game. SRH 34/0 in 5.4 overs

20.20 IST: Sandeep to Watson, FOUR! That should do Watson a world of good. That was right off the middle and also found the gap. Full and on off, Watson stays leg side of the delivery and then strokes it through covers. Second boundary in the over. SRH 24/0 in 4.4 overs

20.18 IST: Sandeep to Faf du Plessis, FOUR! Poor line with the fine leg in the ring! Down the leg side, Faf with his back leg up in the air, flicks it past that fielder and the ball races away. SRH 18/0 in 4.2 overs

20.14 IST: Khaleel to Faf du Plessis, FOUR! Shot! Straight over the bowler's head! Slightly fuller this time and Faf gets under it. He lofts it over the bowler, no fielder there and a boundary results. SRH 14/0 in 3.2 overs

20.13 IST: Bhuvneshwar Kumar to Shane Watson, Length delivery on middle, Watson flicks it through mid-wicket. The fielder dives and does well to stop it. The batsmen get two runs.

20.10 IST: FOUR! Edged and over man at slip! First boundary of the match! The pressure of two dot balls was telling and Watson looks to drive with a flamboyant front stride. The ball takes the outside edge and flies over the head of a diving Warner. The ball runs away to the fence. Could have been a catch had there been a taller fielder there. SRH 8/0 in 2.3 overs

20.10 IST: Khaleel Ahmed to Faf du Plessis, Good ball! On the neither front foot nor back foot kind of a length outside off, du Plessis comes ahead and pushes at the ball but it bounces extra and hits him high on the bat before rolling to cover.

20.07 IST: Khaleel Ahmed to Faf du Plessis, Excellent fielding! Kane Williamson! A length ball outside off, du Plessis drives this back to the right of mid off. Williamson runs a bit and then dives full length to stop that ball. Saves three runs!

20.06 IST: Khaleel Ahmed to Shane Watson, A single to begin with. Bowled full and inswinging outside off, Watson drives this wide of mid off for a run to bring Faf back on strike.

* Khaleel brought in.

20.03 IST: Bhuvneshwar Kumar to Shane Watson, This one comes in. Watson looks to flick after it lands on off and comes inward but misses the ball. The ball hits him high on the pads and rolls towards the off side.

20.01 IST: Bhuvneshwar Kumar to Shane Watson, Good swing and bounce! On a length outside off, shaping away after landing. Watson lets the ball go. Good carry through to the keeper.

* We are all set for the action to being! The Chennai openers, Faf du Plessis and Shane Watson make their way out to the middle. Bhuvneshwar to bowl the first over. Let's get started!

Brief Report: While CSK sit pretty on top of the table with 14 points from eight games, Sunrisers' have suddenly gone off the boil with a hat-trick of defeats, including an inexplicable batting collapse against Delhi Capitals in their last game.
