India vs South Africa 2018 3rd Test Day 2 at Johannesburg: Hello and welcome to our Live Coverage of Day 2 of the third and final Test between India and South Africa at the Wanderers in Johannesburg. Catch the Cricket Score Online and Cricket Live Updates here. KL Rahul (16*) and Murali Vijay (13*) were on the crease as India took a lead of 42 runs against South Africa in the third Test on Day 2. For South Africa, Vernon Philander (1/11) claimed the wicket of India opener Parthiv Patel (16). Earlier, Jasprit Jasprit Bumrah (5/54) claimed his maiden five-wicket haul as South Africa were bundled out for 194 in their first innings in reply to India's 187. Bhuvneshwar Kumar also chipped in with three wickets while Ishant Sharma and Mohammed Shami took one each. Hashim Amla (61), Kagiso Rabada (30) and Vernon Philander (35) were the key contributors for South Africa. With India in the lead and the value touching nearly 50, just one wicket down, the pitch deteriorating, South Africa batting last... got to say, the visitors are in the driver's seat. The home side will look to bowl its opposition out under 150, if possible and then try to chase it down. If India get past 150, one can daresay - they might well avoid the whitewash.

CRICKET SCORE, INDIA VS SOUTH AFRICA, 3RD TEST DAY 2

CRICKET UPDATES FROM JOHANNESBURG

21.15 IST: The Proteas tried everything, had a few balls which whizzed past the outside edge, a few taking the edge but not carrying to the fielders but then they started to try a bit too much. The game is not gone for South Africa by any means but they missed a big opportunity to have the Indian middle order batting tonight. It has been a 75-minute session but the Indians would have received a big boost. Their batting has been struggling big time in this series and this particular period would have give them a much-needed confidence. Earlier in the day, Jasprit Bumrah's 5-fer restricted the South African lead to just 7, which brings us to the question whether South Africa messed up their day after starting reasonably well.

21.05 IST: India have done extremely well to not lose more than a wicket tonight. On another day, they could have lost 2-3 but just when the batsmen decided to guts it out, the South African bowlers tried extra hard and hence, could not extract much. Definitely, the batsmen have been given the license to play their own game. Vijay and Rahul have been watchful and attacking when the ball have been there to hit but not poking needlessly. Parthiv Patel was an experiment which flopped but India will not mind too much.

21.02 IST: Stumps on DAY 2! India 187 and 49/1 at stumps, lead South Africa (194) by 42 runs. Morne Morkel to Murali Vijay, no run. Full and outside off, Vijay leans and pushes it towards point. Thinks about the single but Rahul is not going anywhere. STUMPS ON DAY 2, INDIA LEAD BY 42!

21.00 IST: FOUR! Leg byes!

20.54 IST: FOUR! Rahul drills it through wide mid-off. Glorious! Fractionally overpitched around off, Rahul leans ahead and drives it past mid off for a majestic boundary.

20.45 IST: Ngidi comes into the attack.

20.40 IST: FOUR! Frustrating for Morkel. EDGED! Lucky escape. On a length outside off, Vijay looks to play at that but the ball moves away, takes the outside edge and goes past third slip to the third man fence! IND 36/1, lead SA by 29 runs.

20.32 IST: Jasprit Bumrah, who claimed his maiden five-wicket haul in Test cricket today, receives acclaim from cricket fans and pundits.

20.21 IST: FOUR! Full and wide outside off, Rahul reaches out and drives it through cover-point for a boundary! The lead moves to 21. IND 28/1, lead SA by 21 runs.

20.07 IST: OUT! Philander removes Parthiv for 16. That is a stunning catch! Philander has eventually struck. He has been ordinary against Vijay but come the left-hander, Philander is gold. Bounces it on a length outside off, gets it to cut back in, Parthiv looks to flick but gets a thick inside edge onto his thighs which lobs towards gully. Aiden Markram dives in from that position and takes a stunner! Philander does not even bother to appeal while the Proteas appeal. Now Aleem Dar raises his finger. India 187 and 17/1, lead South Africa (194) by 10 runs. KL Rahul has come out to bat

20.06 IST: FOUR! Parthiv hits Philander to backward square leg for a boundary!

20.01 IST: FOUR! India into the lead now! Down the leg side, Patel just helps it past the keeper of the opposite side to the fine leg fence! IND 187 & 9/0, lead SA (194) by 2 runs

20.00 IST: According to cricket commentator Harsha Bhogle, Indian batsmen have an opportunity to deliver a match-changing performance in Johannesburg.

19.52 IST: Kagiso Rabada to Parthiv Patel, FOUR! That is actually well played. A short ball around middle and off, Patel looks to sway out of the way, then tries to fend it. In the end, gets into a tangle and the ball goes off the outside edge. Flies over the leaping Hashim Amla at first slip to the third man fence. India off the mark.  IND 4/0, trail SA by 3 runs.

19.46 IST: Murali Vijay and Parthiv Patel are at the crease. Philander will open the attack for South Africa.

19.35 IST! WICKET! Maiden five-wicket haul for Bumrah in Tests! He has a beaming look on his face and is being congratulated by his teammates. Shortish ball down the leg side, Ngidi goes for the pull but gets a faint nick behind. Patel moves to his left and dives to take a fine catch. SOUTH AFRICA ARE BOWLED OUT FOR 194!

19.33 IST: Lungi Ngidi is the last man in. Can Bumrah get a five-wicket haul?

19.32 IST: WICKET!  Bumrah removes Phehlukwayo for 9 runs. Crashing into the leg stump! Bumrah is bowling with a lot of authority at the moment and picks up a 4-wicket haul. Full toss on middle and leg, a bit of nibble in the air. Phehlukwayo swings at it but misses to get pinged on the pads. Bumrah roars in an appeal and up goes the umpire's finger. Andile has a chat with his partner and challenges the decision gingerly. The replay shows three reds to signal the marching orders for the batsman.  South Africa 194/9 lead India (187) by 7 runs.

19.30 IST: REVIEW! Phehlukwayo  gone?

19.21 IST: Yet another occasion when a batsman has been hit on the gloves. The physio runs out and gives Morkel medical attention.

19.19 IST: FOUR! More fireworks and SA take the lead. The crowd is applauding for its team. Good length ball around middle, Morkel pushes at it with hard hands but gets it off the inner half past mid on. Yet, the timing is good enough and the ball rolls to the fence.  SA 189/8, lead IND by 2 runs.

19.18 IST: FOUR! Tail-enders are ready to give Indian bowlers some nightmares. Easy pickings! Not the ideal place to bowl. Full and straying on the pads, Morkel clips it past short leg and finds the square leg fence.

19.13 IST: Morne Morkel strides out to bat.

19.12 IST: WICKET! Shami removes Philander for 35 runs. Another one goes down! India closing in on the Proteas. Short ball this time, climbing on Philander. He is not in a good position to play the pull shot but he still goes through with it. Ends up getting a top edge that swirls in the sky towards fine leg. Bumrah in the deep remains ice cool. Moves to his right and a touch behind, judges it to perfection and takes a well-judged catch by getting low. Gets appreciation from the skipper for holding onto that. India still in front by 12 runs. It is a low margin but this track is such that every run is precious. South Africa 175/8, trail India (187) by 12 runs.

19.08 IST: FOUR! These are handy runs for South Africa! Back of a length outside off, Philander guides it through the gap between the slip cordon and gully to go through to the fence.

19.04 IST: Praises pour in for Amla, who scored a gusty 61-run knock for South Africa.

19.01 IST: Andile Phehlukwayo comes out to bat.

19.00 IST: WICKET! Bumrah removes Amla for 61 runs. Amla holes out! Good field placement from Kohli and India have got the big fish! With two fielders deep on the leg side, Bumrah opts to bowl this on a fuller length on middle. Amla goes for the flick but doesn't bother to keep it down. Pandya has been placed a bit up from the ropes. He runs to his right and takes an easy catch in the deep square leg region. A brilliant knock from Amla comes to an end and the handy 44-run stand is also cut short. South Africa trail by 18 runs.  South Africa 169/7, trail India (187) by 18 runs.

18.53 IST: FOUR! Wow! Seems like Philander has taken a leaf out of Kallis' book. Back of a length outside off and some room to play with. The batsman lifts his front foot and punches it elegantly through point to pick up another boundary. Holds the pose for the cameramen after playing that. Philander in on fire!

18.51 IST: As South Africa inch close to India's first innings' total, former batsman VVS Laxman believes the visitors are very much in the game and need to maintain the intensity.

18.50 IST: Double bowling change. Shami to have a burst now.

18.46 IST: Philander gets some medical attention from the physio. There are cracks around the good length area and they have certainly opened up. The batsmen are finding it difficult.

18.44 IST: An excellent drive by Philander. Brilliant shot! This guy can certainly play handy knocks down the order. Comes forward to the fuller length ball and creams it through covers for a majestic boundary.  SA 159/6, trail IND by 28 runs.

18.40 IST: FOUR! A beautiful square-cut brings up 150 for South Africa. Ishant Sharma to Vernon Philander, FOUR! Shot! Short and room on offer, Philander frees his arms and slaps it through covers to find the fence.

18.37 IST: Sharma to continue his spell.

18.36 IST: Bhuvneshwar Kumar to Vernon Philander, 1 run. Goes for the pull this time but doesn't get any sort of timing behind it. SA 146/6, trail IND by 41 runs.

18.32 IST: We are back for the evening session. Hashim Amla and Vernon Philander to resume their innings. Bhuvneshwar Kumar to bowl first up after Tea.

18.25 IST: South Africa lost the two big wickets of de Villiers and du Plessis pretty cheaply. The visitors were happy to see their back as they can be really dangerous. The good thing for the Proteas is the presence of Amla. He has been the calm amidst the storm and is unbeaten on 54. Philander is providing him good support as well. The hosts will be eager to neutralize the deficit first up and take it from there on. Can the visiting bowlers clean them up and take some sort of a lead? Join us shortly for the final session.

18.15 IST: The Indian bowlers bowled much more smartly after Lunch and have got the rewards as well. Kumar was as usual his probing best while Bumrah bowled a terrific spell to constantly trouble the batsmen.

18.12 IST: Tea on Day 2! With Amla leading the charge, South Africa 143/6, trail India (187) by 44 runs.  Ishant Sharma to Vernon Philander, no run. Back of a length ball outside off, holding its line. Philander points his bat skywards to allow it through.

18.00 IST: Amla is in pain and the physio attends him. Seems to be fine to continue now. Ishant Sharma to Hashim Amla, 1 run. In the air... but safe! You can do nothing as a batsman to such a delivery. Hits one of the cracks on the good length area and shoots off to take Amla by surprise. The ball hits Amla on the gloves and lobs to the left side of the keeper. Patel runs and dives full length but the ball lands down safely. A run taken. Sharma has his hands on his head. Hashim is ringing his hand in pain.

17.57 IST:  India TV Sports Editor Samip Rajguru believes India are on top, adding all they need is just one more wicket in Hashim Amla (52*) and the rest of the batting line-up will collapse like a pack of cards.

17.48 IST: Philander signals to the dressing room for a change of bat.

17.44 IST: Hashim Amla hits his 37th Test half-century. Mohammed Shami to Hashim Amla, 1 run. Fullish delivery, angling in, clipped through backward square leg for a run. That brings up Amla's 37th Test fifty. He has faced tough times but has battled through it. Certainly not an easy pitch to bat on and his innings is worth in gold. However, he still needs to carry on and try to convert this into a big one.  South Africa 130/6, trail India (187) by 57 runs.

17.39 IST: Vernon Philander strides out to bat.

17.36 IST: WICKET! Bumrah removes de Kock for 8 runs. Bumrah on the charge! He has been consistent with his lines and lengths particularly in this spell and is reaping the rewards. Bowls a fuller length ball and it is going across the batsman initially. De Kock extends his arms and tries to hit it through the line but the ball swings back in to catch him off guard. Takes the inside edge of his bat and Patel behind the stumps accepts it gleefully. India are still ahead by 62 runs and need four more wickets to bowl the Proteas out. South Africa 125/6, trail India (187) by 62 runs.

17.32 IST: NOT OUT! India lose the review. FOUR! Leg byes! Clearly going down leg! A review goes down the drain. It is very difficult to get an LBW from that angle unless it is really adjacent. Full delivery from around the wicket, angling down. De Kock falls over a bit in an attempt to flick it and is struck on the pads. The ball runs down towards the fine leg fence as Shami pleads for it. Kohli challenges the decision. The Hawk Eye shows that it is clearly missing leg stump.

17.31 IST: REVIEW! Kohli challenges yet another LBW decision. De Kock is the man in question. Seems to be a review out of desperation. Looks to be missing leg.

17.30 IST: FOUR! A well-controlled shot. Shot! Shortish ball and room on offer, de Kock pounces on it and flays it past the gully region to find the fence. SA 120/5, trail IND by 67 runs.

17.20 IST: FOUR! Amla punches confidently. A gift and duly accepted! Back of a length and room to play with, Amla rises on his toes and slaps it through the point region to find the fence.

17.18 IST: Shami is back on.

17.09 IST: De Kock comes out to bat.

17.07 IST: WICKET! Bumrah dismisses du Plessis for 8 runs. Timber! India are right back into the contest. Poor judgement from du Plessis and pays the price for it. He was having problems against the inward shaping deliveries and finally falls prey to one.  SA 107/5, trail India (187) by 80 runs.

17.02 IST: NOT OUT! Yes, the impact is outside off. Judicious use of the review from South Africa. Length ball around off, Amla comes forward tentatively to counter it but is struck on the pads. Kumar is almost pleading to Ian Gould and he obliges to give it out. Amla goes for the review instantly. He looks confident. The replays show that the impact is outside off and it is also not coming in enough.  SA 105/4, trail IND by 80 runs.

17.01 IST: REVIEW! Amla in trouble? Amla goes for the review straightaway against an LBW decision! India look extremely confident but the impact might be an issue.

17.00 IST: FOUR! Amla displays patience. Shot! Full and straight, Amla clips it beautifully through mid-wicket and the ball whistles away to the fence.

16.54 IST: FOUR! Loose shot from du Plessis. Streaky runs! Back of a length and room on offer, du Plessis rises on his toes and flays at it but gets it off the outer half of the bat past the gully region. A boundary results.

16.47 IST: Here come praises for the Meerut quick.

16.40 IST: Faf du Plessis is the new man in.

16.39 IST: WICKET! Bhuvneshwar bowls de Villiers out for 5 runs. Bowled 'em! A dream delivery from Kumar to get rid of the best batsman in the opposition. Fullish delivery outside off, swings in prodigiously as de Villiers attempts an expansive drive but leaves a big gap between his bat and pad. That proves to be his undoing. The ball goes through the gap, brushes his back leg and crashes into the stumps. A big breakthrough for India. AB is such a man who can take the game away from the opposition in the blink of an eye. He has been the best Indian bowler on display and has got the desired results as well.  SA 92/4, trail IND (187) by 95 runs .

16.35 IST: Former India batsman Aakash Chopra believes batting on this surface is more about luck than skills.

16.28 IST: This time AB de Villiers times his shot and goes past the slips just to fall short of a boundary but the batsmen manage to collect three runs. SA 89/3, trail IND by 98 runs.

16.24 IST: Good ball by Bhuvneshwar as de Villiers plays the cut shot and just falls short to fall in the hands of KL Rahul at slip. SA 84/3, trail IND by 104 runs

16.15 IST: Just one run from the over. Ishant Sharma to AB de Villiers, No run. Defended off the back foot by the batsman.  SA 82/3, trail IND by 105 runs.

16.13 IST: No leg slip in place for de Villiers. The man at deep square leg comes in and positions himself at short mid-wicket.

16.09 IST: We are back for the afternoon session. Hashim Amla and AB de Villiers to resume their innings.

15.40 IST: Bhuvneshwar Kumar gave the ideal start to India this morning by outfoxing Elgar and he consistently bowled in testing channels. Apart from him, the other seam bowlers were a bit off target. They bowled pretty short when the ball was moving around a lot. Shaun Pollock pointed out in the pitch report that the visitors need to bowl a stump-to-stump line and hit the fuller lengths. It didn't happen that much and the 66-run stand between Rabada and Amla stole the show. India will be eager to nip de Villiers out early otherwise they will be staring down the barrel.

15.35 IST: South Africa are in a commanding position, thanks to the enterprising knock from Rabada. If your nightwatchman scores 30 runs on a juicy track, it gives you a lot of confidence. With his gutsy knock, he got the better of the opposition. Amla looked shaky, to begin with, tackled some nervy moments but is looking a lot more composed now after getting his eye in.

15.31 IST: Lunch on Day 2! SA 81/3, trail IND by 106 runs. Hardik Pandya to AB de Villiers, no run. Fullish delivery outside off, de Villiers leans ahead to tap it to the cover region.

15.26 IST: AB de Villiers is the new man in. He is the in-form batsman and will be eager to stamp his authority once again.

15.25 IST: WICKET! Ishant removes nightwatchman Rabada for 30 runs.  A good hand from Rabada comes to an end! He is getting a warm applause from the Wanderers crowd for his sheer resilience and a gutsy batting display. Short of a length ball on middle, some extra bounce is present and the ball also nips away. Rabada hops and tries to keep it out but can't do anything about it. Ends up getting a thick outside edge towards gully where Rahane takes a sharp catch. He is safe as a house in that region. The frustrating 66-run stand comes to an end for India. Can they capitalize upon this?

15.22 IST: Meanwhile Kagiso Rabada, who is playing at 30 (not out), earns much acclaim for his fearless batting.

15.19 IST: Ishant hits Amla on the ribs and then asks him if he is fine. Ooh.. that's nasty! Back of a length ball, climbing on Amla. He tries to fend it off but takes his eyes off the ball. Is hit right on the rib-cage area and holds it with a look of anguish. Good sportsman spirit shown by Sharma as he walks up to Amla and asks whether he is okay or not. Hashim calls for the physio immediately. Has taken a breather and is fine to continue now.

15.14 IST: A man in a catching position at extra cover now. Point also goes back.

15.12 IST: FOUR! Edged but runs. Fortune favours the brave! Full ball around off, Rabada goes for a drive but gets an outside edge past the vacant gully region to the fence. India on the defensive.  SA 66/2, trail IND by 121 runs.

15.08 IST: NOT OUT! Ishant Sharma to Hashim Amla, Leg bye 1 run. Amla survives a close shout! Length ball around off, shaping in. Amla shuffles across and attempts to flick it away but his bat comes down at an angle which makes it difficult for him to get bat on ball. Is hit on the pads and the Indians go up in an appeal but Aleem Dar stays put. Kohli has a chat with his teammates and decides to challenge the decision. Time for the replays. Impact is in line but the ball is just clipping the stumps. Not good enough to get the decision overruled. However, India retain the review.

15.07 IST: REVIEW! Is a change of fortune on the cards? Kohli has opted to take a review against Amla. It is regarding an LBW decision. The body language from the Indians is not that confident but it does look close. Only the height can save him.

15.04 IST: FOUR! Rabada drives it to deep extra cover. Rabada is getting adventurous now! Puts his dancing shoes on and lifts it over extra cover to pick up a boundary.

15.02 IST: Kumar is back on. This stand is getting frustrating for the Indians. Can India's frontline bowler provide the breakthrough?

15.00 IST: FOUR! Any top order batsman would have been proud of that! Fullish delivery outside off, Rabada shuffles across and flicks it beautifully through mid-wicket. He has timed that to perfection and picks up a boundary.  SA 52/2, trail IND by 135 runs.

14.49 IST: FOUR! Lovely square drive from Rabada for a boundary. Rabada is growing in confidence! Fullish delivery outside off, Kagiso leans ahead and creams it through point for an exquisite boundary. He has a beaming look on his face. SA 45/2, trail IND (187) by 142 runs

14.45 IST: FOUR! Top shot! Back of a length outside off and room on offer, Amla makes good use of the depth of the crease and slaps it past backward point to find the fence. 8 from the over. SA 41/2, trail IND (187) by 146 runs

14.44 IST: FOUR! Streaky runs! Amla is certainly living dangerously. Short of a length ball well outside off, Amla shuffles across and goes for a half pull. Only manages to get a top edge that sails over the slip region and goes over the fence on the bounce.

14.35 IST: It's time for Drinks! Though South Africa haven't scored much, they have done well to hang in there. Credit to Rabada for battling it out. He has been beaten on numerous occasions but he has remained cool as a cucumber. India have bowled well but only have a wicket to show for this morning. Kumar was the pick of the bowlers and troubled the batsmen a lot. Another absorbing passage of play awaits.

14.33 IST: FOUR! Rabada hits Bumrah for a boundary to mid on. What a confident shot! Pure class and timing! Fullish ball on middle and leg, Rabada's head position is accurate and he remains well balanced. Clips it nonchalantly through mid-wicket and the ball whistles away to the fence. SA 29/2, trail IND (187) by 158 runs

14.26 IST: 5 Wides! Bonus runs for South Africa! Wayward and down the leg side, Rabada fails to put bat on ball. Patel dives like a goalkeeper to his right but the ball goes past him and through to the fence. The ball rolls down on the covers. There is a bit of water spread there. Let's hope that the ball doesn't get wet. SA 25/2, trail IND (187) by 162 runs

14.20 IST: Jasprit Bumrah has been brought into the attack now.

14.19 IST: Another fantastic over from Bhuvneshwar. Absolutely fantastic to watch! SA 18/2, trail IND (187) by 169 runs

14.12 IST: Nervy moment! An appeal for an LBW turned down! Bowls a fuller length ball well outside off and gets it to jag back in sharply. Amla puts a big stride forward to deal with it but misses to get pinged on the pads. Sharma roars in an appeal but the umpire stays put. Harsha Bhogle on air instantly says that the impact is outside off. Well, he is right. The impact saves Amla. This is terrific bowling.

13.59 IST: OUT! Bhuvneshwar removes Elgar for 4. Elgar's misery is put to an end! Top, top bowling from Kumar to get rid of the opener as he bags his second wicket. Bowls a length ball around leg stump and gets the ball to deviate away substantially after pitching. Elgar is caught in the crease as he attempts to deal with it gingerly but the ball takes the outside edge and flies behind. Patel dives to his left and takes a good catch. He went past Elgar's outside edge on numerous occasions and it was a matter of time before he came out on top. Good passage of play for India. South Africa 16/2, trail India (187) by 171 runs. Hashim Amla comes out to bat next.

13.51 IST: FOUR! Rabada hits Ishant to third man for a boundary! This is the first boundary of this morning. Streaky but effective! Anything from the nightwatchman's bat is worth in gold. Fullish delivery on a stump-to-stump line, Rabada aims to drive it down the ground gingerly but gets a thick outside edge past third slip and through to the fence. SA 16/1, trail IND (187) by 171 runs

13.42 IST: Couple of testing overs from Bhuvneshwar! SA 8/1, trail IND (187) by 179 runs

13.33 IST: Bhuvneshwar starts with a maiden! SA 6/1, trail IND (187) by 181 runs

13.30 IST: Also, here's wishing Cheteshwar Pujara a very Happy Birthday!

13.28 IST: This is going to be a fascinating day of Test cricket. It won't be an easy task for South African batsmen to bat on this pitch.  Dean Elgar and Kagiso Rabada to continue their innings. Bhuvneshwar Kumar to start the proceedings for India. Three slips and a gully waiting for the outside edge. Here we go...

13.25 IST: PITCH REPORT - Shaun Pollock doing the pitch report says that there was prodigious seam movement on offer yesterday. Informs that a few batsmen went back with some bruises. States that the ball is misbehaving on the odd occasion due to some cracks present on the surface. Points out that the cracks are present on the good length area around the off stump of the right-handed batsman. Feels that there are chances of some balls staying low and some taking off if they hit the cracks. Reckons that the Indian bowlers should aim to bowl a stump-to-stump line. Ends by saying that it won't be an easy task for the batsmen throughout.

13.20 IST: However, you can never afford to relax when the ball is deviating so much. The cracks will only open up more to expose the flaws. At present, there is bright sunshine in Johannesburg but there are chances of rain later in the day. Expect an absorbing day of cricket.

13.18 IST: South Africa, on the other hand, are relatively well placed. With the likes of AB de Villiers and Faf du Plessis waiting in the wings, they will be moderately confident. It will be a test of the hosts' character and if they manage to stand tall, they can put the visitors under a lot of pressure. The morning session holds the key for them. If they come out on top and keep the scoreboard ticking, the momentum will be on their side.

13.15 IST: The batsmen fell like a pack of cards yesterday on a surface which provided a lot of assistance to the pace bowlers. Run-scoring is proving to be a difficult task and you need to be astute with your technique and decisive with your strokeplay if you are to thrive here. 187 is not a big total but on this spicy surface, it is a competitive one. Cheteshwar Pujara mentioned in the post-match press conference that it is as good as scoring 300 runs. Still, the Indian seamers need to be on target if they are to make optimum utilization of the conditions on offer. An all-out pace attack augers well for them.

13.10 IST: Missed Day 1 of the third Test between India and South Africa? Here's a quick recap:

12.50 IST: Only a day has gone by but the bowlers have got exaggerated movement and ruled like kings. Tough times lie ahead for the batsmen. Will the Proteas fight fire with fire? Or will there be another surrender on display? Stay with us to catch all the action from Day 2.

12.46 IST: Earlier, the visitors were skittled out under 200. A couple of factors were the reason for their poor show with the bat. One was that some batsmen gifted their wickets away. Only Pujara and Kohli managed to get themselves in and scored important fifties. The South African pace battery bowled with a lot of heart as well. It was a collective bowling performance from them. Every bowler found himself in the wickets column with Rabada's 3-fer stealing the show.

12.30 IST: What an absorbing day of play we witnessed at the Wanderers on Day 1! 82.4 overs, 193 runs and 11 wickets - that sums it up. India were ominous in the final 25-odd minutes of the day and got the prized scalp of Markram as well. Bhuvneswar Kumar and Jasprit Bumrah breathed fire and got a lot of movement to trouble the Proteas.
