Like every run, make your vote count: Team India urges people to vote in 2019 Lok Sabha elections

Following Prime Minister Narendra Modi's appeal, the Indian cricket team has urged the people of the country to come out in large numbers and cast their votes in the upcoming general elections.

Leading from the front, Team India coach Ravi Shastri and his wards urged the people to vote in the upcoming 2019 Lok Sabha elections.

The Press Information Bureau took to their official Twitter handle to post a video where the Indian cricketers urged their fans to turn up at the voting booths and vote for their desired candidate.

'Hello Indians, its time to be responsible, please cast your vote and be a part of the 2019 Lok Sabha elections and make every vote count," said Ravi Shastri in the video released. 

"Every run counts in cricket, and every vote will count in the election," Rohit Sharma urges people to vote. 

Players such as Yuzvendra Chahal, Jasprit Bumrah, Shikhar Dhawan and many more players had a message for all the people. Take a look. 

The Election Commission of India (ECI) on March 13 announced dates for the crucial Lok Sabha elections 2019.

The election for 543 parliamentary seats will be held in seven phases till May 19 and the counting of votes will be taken up on May 23.
