Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) owner and Bollywood actress Preity Zinta heaped praises upon her team players after they guided the Punjab-franchise to a winning start at the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2018 on Sunday. Under the captaincy of Ravichandran Ashwin, KXIP thrashed Delhi Daredevils by six wickets to commence their IPL 2018 campaign on a high at Mohali.
Preity, who owns the Punjab franchise, hailed captain Ashwin, opener KL Rahul who scored a 14-ball fifty, Afghan spinner Mujeeb Zadran who claimed two wickets on his debut and middle-order batsman Karun Nair who scored a causative half-century in the thrilling encounter.
"When @ashwinravi99 leads, @klrahul11 sets a new record, @Mujeeb_Zadran debuts at 17, @karun126 packs a punch & I can’t stop smiling #ting," she said in a tweet, along with a picture of her posing with mentioned match-winners.

Opener Rahul blasted his way to a fastest ever half-century in IPL as a new look KXIP started their campaign on a resounding note defeating Delhi by six wickets at the PCA Stadium in Mohali. The Team India opener bossed his way around in the first three overs of the match as he smashed four sixes and six fours in his innings. Chasing modest target 167, Rahul slamming 50 of just 14 balls, gave a flying start to his team before being dismissed for 51 off Trent Boult in the fourth over after Mayank Agarwal (7) fell cheaply.
