IPL 2019 Final: Winning the title with Mumbai Indians is a special feeling, says Jasprit Bumrah

Delivering yet another match-winning performance, Jasprit Bumrah is on cloud nine as Mumbai Indians beat Chennai Super Kings by a thrilling 1-run in Hyderabad. The death-over specialist along with Lasith Malinga dished out a disciplined performance and held their nerves at the death to guide Mumbai home and to clinch a record fourth Indian Premier League title. 

CSK needed nine runs off the last over but the experienced Lankan paceman Malinga kept his nerve to concede eight. He trapped Shardul Thakur leg before in the last ball after Watson (80 off 59) got run out two balls earlier. 

Before that Jasprit Bumrah kept Mumbai in the hunt with his tidy overs and two wickets, getting rid of Dwayne Bravo and Ambati Rayudu. The premier Indian pacer produced 13 dot balls in his testing overs.

With the win, Mumbai Indians went on to win a record fourth IPL trophy. 

"Very happy. In the finals we know that it can get close and winning the title with MI is a special feeling. Today, surprisingly, I was very calm, I wasn't panicking at all and very happy to contribute to the team's success. I only take one ball and one day at a time and if you think like that you don't feel pressure at all," said Bumrah in the post-match presentation ceremony.

Master Blaster and Mumbai Indians mentor Sachin Tendulkar also lauded the star bowler for Mumbai's success in the 12th edition of the IPL. 

"The key moment was Dhoni's run-out. But also in patches when Bumrah bowled those critical to even out Malinga's one poor over was also crucial. And the last over, thought Malinga finished the game out beautifully," Tendulkar told Star Sports after the match.

Both teams were tied at three IPL titles each heading into the finale with Mumbai holding the upper hand, having beaten CSK thrice earlier in the competition but it was the Rohit Sharma led side that emerged winners.
