Kolkata Knight Riders' captain Dinesh Karthik managed to bring a smile on the face of his team co-owner and Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan in the backdrop of their emphatic 31-run win over Kings XI Punjab at the Holkar Cricket Stadium, Indore, on Saturday.
"My Captain @DineshKarthik asked me to smile cos I was so disappointed at the match before. This pic is for him. Thx @Russell12A @prasidh43 @SunilPNarine74 & #KKRTeam. Onwards & up," Shah Rukh said on Twitter.
KKR's impressive victory came two days after Shah Rukh apologised to his fans for the team performance.
Following KKR's 102-run loss on their home turf Eden Gardens to Mumbai Indians on Wednesday, Shah Rukh apologised from the fans, claiming that his team lacked the spirit.
"Sports is about the spirit and wins-losses don’t reflect that. But tonight as the ‘Boss’ I need to apologise to the fans for the lack of spirit," Shah Rukh said on Twitter.
After posting a mammoth total of 210 on board, defending champions Mumbai Indians bowled out Kolkata Knight Riders for a paltry 108 to register a massive 102-run win in match 41 of IPL 2018 at Eden Gardens.
