Three-time winners and one of the most consistent teams in the Indian Premier League, Mumbai Indians presently holds the 'defending champions tag' in the glitzy T20 tournament. Led by limited-overs specialist Rohit Sharma, the blue brigade defeated defunct franchise Rising Pune Supergiant by just one run to clinch the title in the last edition of IPL.
Over the years, Mumbai Indians have been coached and supported by the best of the sport in the world. With a new season underway, the Mukesh Ambani-owned franchise have stuck with their core players for the new season of the league.
Mumbai Indians are the only team in the IPL history to win the coveted trophy thrice, while, Chennai and Kolkata have won it twice. MI won lifted the trophy on three different occasions in 2013, 2015 and 2017. They had also won the Champions League trophy twice in 2011 and 2013.

Bumrah, in particular, has established himself as Team India's frontline bowler especially in the s limited-overs format.
With 2 RTM cards and a purse with Rs.47 crores in it, the Mumbai Indians will spare no expense in bringing in the best of players this season as the competition gets tougher.
Veteran players like Harbhajan Singh, Parthiv Patel's inclusion will be a point of discussion. However, MI are looking to invest in the young and new talent this season. Their primary agenda will be to play with dominance and retain the title with a strong squad.
With a bigger pool of player in this year's auction, Mumbai Indians will face some stiff competition but will also aim to outdo their previous performance by signing a few big names.
