The Indian Premier League is back! And the world's most followed T20 carnival will rule over the India over the next 51 days. The IPL, which started in 2008, over the years grew into world's most watched T20 cricket league with a galaxy of Indian and world's best cricketers playing their trade to entertain the crowd. With every passing year, the league has grown bigger and better. This year the IPL entered its 11th year and promises to be the biggest so far with new-look squads, new captains and the re-entry of Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals.
The tournament starts on April 7 and the final will be played on May 27. There are eight participating teams - Chennai Super Kings, Delhi Daredevils, Kolkata Knight Riders, Kings XI Punjab, Mumbai Indians, Royal Challengers Bangalore, Rajasthan Royals and Sunrisers Hyderabad.
The matches can be watched on Star Sports Network as the company brought the broadcast rights of the IPL for a whopping Rs 16,347.50 for the next five years.
The channels showing live matches are Star Sports 1, Star Sports Select HD. Hindi commentary will be available on Star Sports 1 Hindi.
