Delhi Daredevils have brought in England's Liam Plunkett to replace South Africa pacer Kagiso Rabada in the 11th edition of the Indian Premier League. Rabada has been ruled out for three months after suffering stress in his lower back.
The pacer has recently established his role in the limited-overs format will combine with New Zealand's Trent Boult, Mohammed Shami and Chirs Morris to form the pace attack for the Daredevils.
Plunkett has a fair share of experience in the shortest format of the game as he has played 119 T20 matches where he has collected 110 wickets.
Plunkett has featured in 13 Tests, 65 One-Day Internationals (ODIs) and 15 T20 Internationals for England so far. This will be Plunkett’s first stint in the VIVO IPL. The English pacer was picked from the Registered Available Player Pool (RAPP) list.
Delhi Daredevils open their VIVO IPL 2018 campaign with a game against the Kings XI Punjab at Mohali on April 8.
