South African fast bowler Dale Steyn isn't much happy with Kings XI Punjab as they dropped his fellow country mate David Miller from the playing XI. Steyn believes Miller hasn't got enough chances to showcase his talent in the ongoing edition of Indian Premier League. He has continuously been looked over by KXIP team management who favoured Australian Aaron Finch more than him in the squad.
Miller has only played two matches in this year's IPL where he scored 50 runs where one of his knock was unbeaten, whereas Aaron has played eight matches and scored only 84 runs and he is continuously been favoured by team management over the South African.
The 34-year old African pacer took the twitter to express his feelings by tweeting "So why isn’t Miller getting a game? #justaskingforafriend". During the match, he also tweeted " I mean, Leg spinner to a left-hander. Middle overs, Miller is taking that on. But I guess at this level everyone should be able to play leggies... "
Punjab side is very much dependant on their opening pair Chris Gayle and KL Rahul while Gayle has not been performing since last few matches so it makes them a man army in form of KL Rahul. The major disappointment for Ashwin led side is their middle order which is a big flop in this edition of IPL, not a single middle-order batsman has been performing well for them be it Yuvraj Singh, Aaron Finch or Marcus Stoinis.
KXIP are going through a very rough patch right now and they need to find out the perfect combination for the team to qualify for the play-offs in the current edition of Indian Premier League 2018.
In their last league encounter against Royal Challengers Bangalore, Kings XI Punjab were outplayed in all departments on their adopted second home ground at Holkar Cricket Stadium, Indore. After bundling out Kings XI for paltry 88, RCB chased down the target with consummate ease, reaching 92 for no loss in 8.1 overs. Skipper Virat Kohli led from the front with the bat with an unbeaten 48 while Parthiv Patel made unbeaten 40 to help RCB romp home.
