New Zealand all-rounder Corey Anderson will replace Australia's injured fast bowler Nathan Coulter-Nile in the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) squad ahead of the 11th season of the Indian Premier League (IPL), starting April 7. N. Nile, who claimed 15 wickets from eights games for Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) last season, has been ruled out owing to an injury.

"The IPL Technical Committee has approved a replacement for Nathan Coulter-Nile - fast bowler from Australia - in the Royal Challengers Bangalore squad," the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) said in a statement.

"Mr. Coulter-Nile has been ruled out of the VIVO IPL 2018 owing to an injury," it added.

In the IPL Auction, held in Bengaluru in January, Anderson went unsold as none of the eight franchise showed its interest in buying the all-rounder at a base price of Rs 2 Crore.

Virat Kohli-led RCB were allowed to choose a replacement for Coulter-Nile from the Registered and Available Player Pool (RAPP).

RCB will start their IPL 2018 campaign on April 8, facing Dinesh Karthik-led Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) at Eden Gardens.
