New Delhi: Delhi Daredevils have managed to restrict Kings XI Punjab to a low total of 105 in the seventh match of the Indian Premier League at the Feroz Shah Kotla Stadium in Delhi.
Delhi Daredevils won the toss and invited Kings XI Punjab to bat first on the turning wicket of Feroz Shah Kotla.
After losing Murli Vijay in the second over, Manan Vohra (32 runs from 24 balls) and Shaun Marsh looked to build a good partnership before Amit Mishra dismissed Marsh for just 13 runs.
After Vohra, no other Kings XI Punjab batsman could stand in front of Daredevils’ strict bowling attack.
Tail enders Mohit Sharma and Pardeep, with their small yet crucial innings of 15 and 18 runs respectively, took Punjab’s score past 100.
Amit Sharma showcased an exceptional bowling performance and bagged four wickets giving away just 11 runs in his three overs. Zaheer Khan, Chris Morris and Yadav shared one wicket each.
