Following a hectic Indian Premier League (IPL) with Royal Challengers Bangalore, India captain Virat Kohli has decided to spend some quality time with his family. Due to the neck injury, Kohli had to withdraw from county cricket, where he was scheduled to make his debut with Surrey.
The 29-year-old Delhi batsman was rested from historic Afghanistan Test and now he is even doubtful for the crucial England tour due to his troubling injury.
Kohli has been the pillar of the Indian cricket team for past few years and led them to victories single-handedly on many occasions. In his absence, Ajinkya Rahane will lead India in a one-off Test against Afghanistan.
In this crucial time, the Indian skipper has decided not to take any stress, though he was spotted hitting the nets to get back to his fittest level recently.
Meanwhile, Kohli is enjoying his special time with his family. He posted a photo on Instagram with a caption: "Family visiting in style!"
Kohli will have a fitness test on June 15, which will decide whether he is going to be match-fit ahead of England tour or not. Indian team will play three T20 Internationals, three One Day Internationals and five Test matches in England, starting July 3.
