Indian Cricket Calendar 2019: Here is what lies ahead for Men in Blue after the Australian Test series

The Aussie war will not stop in January as they will come to India to face the Asian Giants in 5 ODIs and 3 T20Is.

After an action-packed 2018, the Indian cricket team's 2019 schedule is also ready and this year also the Men in Blues will be up for many challenges. From Australian tour to West Indies series, this year will also be fully-packed for the Asian giants with ODI World Cup and the introduction of World Test championship the stakes will be high for Virat Kohli and Co. 

The first team that India face in 2019 is Australia in the final match of the four-match Test series which the visitors are currently leading by 2-1. The match will take place at Sydney Cricket Ground. After the match, the Indian team will lock horns with the Kangaroos in the three-match ODI series from January 12 to 18. After that the Men in Blues will fly to New Zealand for the limited over series, they will play 3 ODIs and 3 T20Is against them in January and February. 

The Aussie war will not stop in January as they will come to India to face the Asian Giants in 5 ODIs and 3 T20Is. Then Zimbabwe will tour here to play 1 Test and 3 ODIs where India will most probably rest their senior players.

The 12th edition of Indian Premier League will also take place in mid-March and will finish around 10-15 days before ICC World Cup 2019. The mega cricket tournament will end on 14th July where the finalist will lock horns at the iconic Lords.

After the WC, West Indies will be waiting for India at their home for 2 Tests, 3 ODIs and 3 T20Is during the July-August period. The two-Test in the series will come under World Test Championship matches. After that, the South African team will tour here for three-Tests matches which will also be part of WTC in October-November. 

The home series will continue in the nation as after the Proteas, neighbours Bangladesh will visit India for 2 Tests, 3T20Is in November-December, the longer format matches will be part of WTC.

At the end of the year, the Indian team will again face the Caribbean side but this time at home for 3 ODIs, 3 T20Is in December. So, that will conclude the action pack year of the Indian cricket team.
