India fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah and spinner Washington Sundar have been ruled out of the T20I series against England, starting July 3, the Board of Control for Cricket in India confirmed on Sunday.
"Sundar suffered an injury to his right ankle during Indian team’s training session at the Malahide Cricket Club, Dublin on June 26, 2018. He subsequently underwent scans and was seen by a specialist," the BCCI said in a statement.
All-rounders Krunal Pandya and Axar Patel have been named as the replacements for Sundar in the T20Is and ODIs respectively.
Fast bowler Bumrah sustained an injury while attempting a catch in the first T20I against Ireland in Dublin on Wednesday. The national team selectors have named Deepak Chahar as his replacement in the T20I side.
