England are currently trailing behind India on the ongoing Test match at Trent Bridge, Nottingham. After conceding a lead of 168 in the first innings, they are struggling to take wickets during India's second innings which has led to the lead swelling to more than 360 on the third day of the match.

Though there is a reason for more worry for the hosts as their wicket-keeper batsman Jonny Bairstow suffered a minor fracture to his left hand middle-finger while trying to collect a swinging delivery from James Anderson.

Bairstow was hit on his left middle finger in the 44th over. He went off the field and subsequently went for an x-ray with Buttler taking over keeping duties. It was revealed later that he had suffered a fracture which rules him out of the match unless England need him desperately to bat in the last innings.

At the moment it is difficult to say how Bairstow's participation in the rest of the five-Test series is affected due to the blow. However, one thing is for certain - England will miss him badly when they come out to bat in order to save the current Test which already seems to have gone way out of their hands.
