Earlier, visitors had a good start to day 4 of the Test match as they got the wickets of Indian skipper Virat Kohli and Ajinkya Rahane in quick succession.
India got a major blow when Virat dismissed in a bizarre fashion at the Saurashtra Cricket Association (SCA) ground on Saturday.
Kohli (40) was out hit-wicket to legspinner Adil Rashid to join a list of 21 other Indian batsmen who ended their innings in this way.
Interestingly, it was the first time that the Indian captain Virat Kohli was dismissed in that fashion.
