The final Test between India and Australia in Sydney is also called as the Pink Test. Indian skipper Virat Kohli showed his full support to the Glenn McGrath Foundation in the ongoing Test match.

Actually every year Cricket Australia raises funds for the McGrath Foundation who works for the breast cancer awareness. Kohli came out to bat on Day 1 with the pink gloves and pink bat handle and sticker to lend his support for the cause.

It's almost a  decade ago tradition in Australian cricket when players wear pink to show their respect towards people who are experiencing or have survived the breast cancer and to raise funds for the people associated with Glenn McGrath foundation.

On the personal note, King Kohli welcomed 2019 on a record-breaking note as he became the fastest player to reach 19k run mark in International cricket.

Indian skipper breached the tally of great Sachin Tendulkar to reach the milestone.

It took Tendulkar 432 innings to reach the milestone, whereas, for the Indian skipper, it took him 399. He was also the fastest to 18,000 international runs, achieving the feat in his 382 innings in September last year.

India are also on the cusp of creating history as they have never won a Test series on Australian soil and by starting the series decider in Sydney with a great start through Cheteshwar Pujara's century, India have a real chance to script a new chapter in Test cricket.

Earlier, India won the toss and opted to bat at the SCG. The visitors made two changes to their team as they brought on KL Rahul as Rohit Sharma's replacement and brought in chinaman Kuldeep Yadav as an extra spinner.

At stumps, Pujara (130) and Hanuma Vihari (39) were holding fort for the visiting side, which is in pursuit of a maiden Test series triumph on Australian soil. Virat Kohli's men have already secured the Border-Gavaskar Trophy with their unassailable lead.
