India on Sunday toppled South Africa from the top of International Cricket Council (ICC) ODI team rankings after beating Australia in the third game of the ongoing five-match ODI series in Indore. Virat Kohli and his men are now leading the charts with 120 rating points, ahead of South Africa (119) and Australia (114).

India now hold the number spots in both ICC Test and ODI rankings. India's latest series victory against Australia was their sixth successive win in a bilateral ODI series against all teams - Zimbabwe (2016), New Zealand (2016), England (2017), West Indies (2017) and Sri Lanka (2017). Meanwhile, it was Australia's 11th loss in 13 ODIs away from home.

Hardik Pandya was promoted to No. 4 and smashed 78 off 72 balls as India beat Australia by five wickets in the third ODI on Sunday to clinch the series. India finished on 294/5 in 47.5 overs in reply to Australia's 293/6 and took an unassailable 3-0 lead in the five-match series.

Pandya won his second man-of-the-match award in three games.

India, who had a 26-run victory in the rain-affected first match at Chennai and 50-run win in the second match at Kolkata, will play the fourth ODI at Bengaluru on September 28.
