Antigua: After a rigorous day of practice ahead of the four-Test series against West Indies, Team India was about to start dinner on Monday evening in Antigua when Caribbean legendary batsman Sir Vivian Richards dropped in to meet Virat Kohli and other players.

Skipper Virat Kohli says he received “words of gold” from Sir Viv Richards who visited the Indian team hotel ahead of the first Test match.

The first of the four Tests between India and West Indies will be played at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium in North Sound, Antigua from July 21-25.

Indian cricketers such as Kohli, Shikhar Dhawan, Ajinkya Rahane, Murali Vijay and K.L. Rahul got themselves clicked with the former West Indies captain, who seemed to be giving them some useful tips.

“What a memorable moment. With the greatest ever, Sir @vivrichards56. Words of gold from him. #Grateful #Memorable,” Kohli, who has often been praised by Richards for his attacking batting, wrote on his twitter handle.

The 62-year-old happily obliged as the Indian cricketers clicked selfies.

“Enjoyed having little discussion with Great Sir viv richards!!! Still feeling so happy!!??????,” Dhawan said on the social networking site.

Promising opener K.L. Rahul tweeted, “Major fan boy moment ?? Sir viv was kind enough to give us some advice. #blessed #bossman what a legend. ??”

The BCCI too posted pictures of the meeting.

“The King @vivrichards56 and the Prince @imVkohli together in Antigua.

“A meeting to remember and cherish! Sir @vivrichards56 meet Team India members in Antigua.”

The two warm-up matches against West Indies Board Presidents’ XI ended in draws.
