Indian skipper Virat Kohli has arrived at the Australian soil with his team to conquer the Kangaroos for the very first time in Test cricket. Kohli is all geared up for his toughest challenge till now as captain and he is working hard to achieve the much-awaited series win. The 30-year old found time from his busy schedule in Brisbane to meet and greet some local fans and bring smile on their faces.
Recently BCCI took to Twitter and posted the photos of Indian captain with some fans, " Always has time for his fans! #TeamIndia Captain @imVkohli poses for a few pics here in Brisbane."
Kohli is a fan favourite in Australia thanks to his excellent record there on the previous Test tour in 2014-15 where he thrashed the Aussie bowlers and scored 692 runs in eight innings with four centuries. Everyone is expecting him to perform even better and takes his team to the victory line which he didn't manage to do on the last tour.
Indian team is taunted as the Overseas Chokers in Test cricket as at home tracks the Men in Blues are almost invincible, but the things don't favour them when they travel abroad.
Kohli had a chat with media persons at the pre-departure press conference where he said,"I think that's (no sledging policy) a very personal thing for them. But when it comes to getting engaged in an argument on the field or a fight as people want to call it excitedly, I have been completely ok with playing without the altercation,"
Kohli, once criticised for his overly aggressive behaviour said that he has passed that phase in his career and more matured as an individual.
"I am very happy within my own space, so on a personal level, I don't find any need to go and find these things anymore. I mean, I have enough belief in my abilities. I can play without a reason to pump myself up and those are very immature things that I used to feel during the early days of my career," the skipper added.
