England paceman Toby Roland-Jones could be a doubt for the Ashes series in Australia after sustaining a stress fracture in his lower back. The Eion Morgan led side will tour their arch-rivals Australia in the prestigious 'Ashes' series where the Three Lions will take on the Steve Smith led side who are currently touring India for a five ODI matches and three T20 match series.
England are coming off a 2-1 win in the Test series against the West Indies, lost the T20 match and are currently leading the five-match ODI series 1-0.
English county side Middlesex says on Friday that Roland-Jones would "take no further part in the domestic season," although there is only one game remaining. It did not give an expected return date for the bowler.
England announces its Ashes squad on Wednesday. The tour starts on November 4.
Handed his test debut against South Africa at The Oval in July, Roland-Jones has taken 17 wickets in his first four matches.
