The Delhi & District Cricket Association has appointed Anil Sethi as Chief Security & Protocol Officer and Devendra Singh Negi as General Manager, Cricket Operations.

The Delhi & District Cricket Association (DDCA) on Friday appointed Mr Anil Sethi as Chief Security & Protocol Officer and Mr Devendra Singh Negi as General Manager, Cricket Operations. 

DDCA President Rajat Sharma, while making the announcement, said: "I am confident that these new appointments in the DDCA will ensure smooth cricket operations and overall security. This is in line with our stated goal of injecting professionalism and transparency in the working of DDCA."

Mr Sethi, who holds an M.Tech. degree in Microwave Communications, and an MBA in Marketing Management, has worked in the Indian Army for 22 years in all terrains including live insurgency. After taking voluntary retirement in 2006, he headed a prestigious project with The Royal Office in Muscat that involved design and implementation of high end security systems in sensitive areas. He brings in rich experience of training and handling multi-national work force in high-end government bodies. Mr. Sethi has over 10 years of experience in designing and formulating security protocols at an international level.

Mr Negi, a retired Lt. Colonel, had worked as nodal officer (Joint Director rank) looking after sports development and perspective planning for the Corps of Signals in the Indian Army. Since 2017, he has been looking after Strategic Operations & Planning, for the smooth functioning of Indian Premier League (IPL).

Meanwhile, Mr PC Vaish, Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of DDCA, will act as interim CEO till the time Mr Ravi Kant Chopra takes over as Chief Executive Officer.
