Highlights, Delhi Capitals (187/5) beat Royal Challengers Bangalore (171/7) by 16 runs

* Delhi are in the playoffs for the first time since 2012! Incredible win for them and they have pushed Bangalore on the brink of elimination.

19.32 IST: Kagiso Rabada to Marcus Stoinis, In the air... safe! The fielder seemed to have not gone for the catch there. A full toss on the stumps, Stoinis hits it towards long on. Tewatia the sub, runs in but then takes a few steps back. Collects it on the bounce. Just a single. DELHI WIN BY 16 RUNS!

19.26 IST: Ishant Sharma to Gurkeerat Singh Mann, OUT! That has stuck in the webbing. Delhi have taken some excellent catches today and this is probably the best of them. Ishant bowls this one full and outside off, Mann looks to go big but only manages an outside edge. The ball flies to the right of Pant who dives and sticks one hand out. The ball manages to stay in.

19.24 IST: Kagiso Rabada to Marcus Stoinis, Play and a miss! Only 6 runs off the over, a top one by Kagiso after 16 coming off the last over. A length ball outside off, Stoinis pushes at it and misses.

19.21 IST: Kagiso Rabada to Gurkeerat Singh Mann, Back of a length ball on off, a sharp delivery, Mann tries to heave across the line but it hurries into him and he ends up playing it aerially towards long on. The fielder collects it on one bounce and the batsmen switch ends.

19.18 IST: Ishant Sharma to Gurkeerat Singh Mann, FOUR! Make that 16 with one ball to go. Bangalore are right back in this. A fortunate boundary but they won't care. This is outside off, Mann looks to hit it over the leg side but the ball hits the top edge and flies over short third man. 36 needed in 19.

19.17 IST: Ishant Sharma to Gurkeerat Singh Mann, SIX! FLAT! That has hit the ropes on the full. Poor ball though, it is on a length. Mann clears his front leg and then whips it through mid-wicket. It goes all the way. Mann now getting into his own. 12 from the over so far with two balls to go.

19.14 IST: Ishant Sharma to Gurkeerat Singh Mann, FOUR! This is what Mann needs to do! Boundaries is the call of the hour and he finds one. Shuffles in and then flicks it through square leg. No one in the deep and a boundary results.

19.08 IST: Sandeep Lamichhane to Marcus Stoinis, SIX! That is huge! As easy as you like. A little too full by Sandeep and he pays the price. Stoinis lofts it over the bowler's head and it goes a long way into the stands.

19.04 IST: Amit Mishra to Gurkeerat Singh Mann, What was that? The googly outside off, this one turns back in sharply and also there is extra bounce. Mann looks to hit it through the off side due to the turn in, the ball hits the gloves.

18.57 IST: OUT! Two wickets in the over for Mishra and this time the southpaw is on his way back. Yet again it's a good catch in the field for Delhi. A googly around off, Dubey has not picked it and blindly swings his bat across the line in the hope to heave it over mid-wicket. But the ball spins away to catch the top edge and Dhawan moves swiftly across to his left from point to complete the catch by stretching his hands out. The thigh-five follows and Delhi are roaring!

18.54 IST: OUT! Klaasen departs as well! Delhi are all over Bangalore like a rash. And this is an excellent catch from Rishabh Pant. A lovely leg spinner from Mishra, it lands full around off and turns away a shade. Klaasen opts to play the cheeky paddle scoop but it takes the toe end of his bat and bounces off his helmet to the leg side. Pant is aware to the situation and immediately runs across to catch the ball with a dive. They appeal and the finger has gone up. 80 more needed off 46 balls. Mishra removes Klaasen for 3. 18.48 IST: OUT! No he has not! That is a top, top catch by Axar to get rid of the man who probably Bangalore had pinned their hopes on. Once again, this is a nothing delivery, it is short and on middle, however, the slowness in the wicket does the trick for Rutherford. De Villiers looks to pull it but does not get it off the middle. It is off the toe-end. For a moment it seemed as if it would go all the way but Axar at deep mid-wicket takes it, he then does extremely well to keep his balance and not touch the ropes. Delhi start celebrating. The umpires though take it upstairs and replays show that Axar has done really well. Rutherford removes AB de Villiers for 17. 18.45 IST: SIX! Dubey dealing in maximums here! Once again we see the last ball spoiling the over. Slightly short and on middle, Dubey goes back quickly and pulls it over the mid-wicket fence. 87 needed in the last 9 overs. RCB 101/2 in 11 overs

18.42 IST: Axar Patel to Shivam Dubey, SIX! JUST OVER! Excellent shot by Dubey! This is bowled way outside off, SD manages to go down on one knee and drag it over wide long on who leaps and tries to catch it but the ball goes just over him.

18.40 IST: Axar Patel to Shivam Dubey, Misfield and a single! Seen quite a few misfields from Delhi today. This is short and outside off, Dubey slaps it towards cover where the fielder gets down but fails to stop it cleanly. A run is taken.

18.36 IST: SIX! And that's AB de Villiers for you! Mishra drops it short and on middle, de Villiers swivels on the back foot and rifles his pull shot deep into the stand at square leg for a biggie. 11 from the over along with a dropped catch. RCB 82/2 in 9 overs

18.35 IST: Amit Mishra to Shivam Dubey, DROPPED! Tewatia (sub) has put down a skier. Flighted googly, landing full around leg, Dubey tries to heave but gets a big leading edge. It flies towards mid on, Tewatia sprints forward but fails to hold on to the catch. A couple of runs taken. Could be a big miss.

18.30 IST: OUT! STRAIGHT TO THE MAN! Kohli can't believe it! He stands there in disbelief but then has to start walking back. This is a huge breakthrough for the hosts and the way they are celebrating it, shows what it means to them. Axar removes Kohli for 23. Royal Challengers Bangalore 68/2 in 7.2 overs

18. 29 IST: Amit Mishra to AB de Villiers, Good fielding! AB makes room and Amit follows him. ABD strokes it towards covers where Iyer dives to his right and saves a single.

18.24 IST: Kagiso Rabada to Parthiv Patel, OUT! TAKEN! Parthiv's excellent innings has come to an end courtesy a brilliant catch. He would feel hard done though as he has absolutely creamed it. Parthiv makes room and it is bowled shortish and on off, Patel slashes at it. It flies towards point where Axar takes a tumbling catch. Royal Challengers Bangalore 63/1 in 5.5 overs

18.19 IST: Ishant Sharma to Virat Kohli, MISFIELD AND FOUR! Poor from Rabada, he succumbs under pressure there. Kohli works this towards him at mid on and sets off for a run. Rabada looks to get to the ball and pick it up quicly but takes his eyes off. The ball sneaks under his hands, Iyer from mid off gives it a chase but finishes second best.

18.18 IST: Ishant Sharma to Virat Kohli, SIX! Stand and deliver! Kohli gets into the act now. This is angled into the batsman, it is on a length. Kohli stands tall and lofts it with ease over the long on fence for a biggie.

18.17 IST: Ishant Sharma to Virat Kohli, NOT OUT! That has bounced before it goes into the gloves! Kohli knew it na dhence, he wasn't going anywhere. Length and around off, Kohli looks to play it late down to third man but the ball goes off the outside edge tp the right of Pant. He seems to have taken it with a dive. Kohli though feels it is not clean. The umpires get together and take it upstairs. The soft signal is not out. Replays roll in and it shows the ball has not carried.

* Now then... big moment in the game! Has Pant taken the catch cleanly here? He surely feels but Kohli is holding his ground. The umpires have taken it upstairs and the SOFT SIGNAL IS NOT OUT!

18.11 IST: Rabada to Kohli, FOUR! Straight down the ground. Master at work! Rabada delivers it on a good length around off, Kohli stays grounded inside the crease and packs a punch down the ground for a boundary.  RCB 44/0 in 3.4 overs

18.09 IST: Rabada to Parthiv, FOUR! Parthiv is in red-hot form! Wow, this is an extraordinary shot. Rabada keeps his length full and outside off, Patel with minimum footwork reaches out for it and drills it through the gap between extra cover and mid off. Not a single muscle moved in the field. 18.07 IST: Sandeep Lamichhane to Parthiv Patel, FOUR! Sweet timing! Excellent this from Patel. He removing all the pressure off Kohli. This is full and on the pads, Patel flicks it through mid-wicket. It is in the gap and the ball reaches the fence for the third boundary in the over.

18.05 IST: FOUR! Parthiv is toying with the field here! The deep mid-wicket was moved to deep square leg. Sandeep tosses this up on middle, Parthiv this time, whips it over mid-wicket for another boundary. Raining boundaries here. RCB 28/0 in 2.2 overs

17.39 IST: Navdeep Saini to Sherfane Rutherford, SIX! BOOM! A biggie to end! What a shot that is. It is a one-handed biggie. 20 from the last over. A low full toss outside off, Rutherford slices it right off the middle. It carries all the way over the point fence. DELHI END WITH 187!

It is a difficult take for Parthiv as it is bouncing just in front of him. He fails to stop it and it races to the third man fence.

17.13 IST: Yuzvendra Chahal to Rishabh Pant, OUT! Three reds and Delhi lose their only review. Not sure why that was taken as it looked out. Big wicket this as Pant could be very dangerous towards the end. Chahal bowls this around off and gets this one to turn back in. Pant looks to work it on the leg side but misses. The ball hits the front pad and an appeal follows. The umpire raises his finger.

17.11 IST: Yuzvendra Chahal to Shreyas Iyer, SIX! JUST OVER! Top shot again! Uses his feet and goes towards the mid-wicket region. It is not off the middle but since the boundaries are short, it carries all the way. He also, brings his 50 up in style. The skipper needs to continue.

17.09 IST: Yuzvendra Chahal to Shreyas Iyer, SIX! A boundary to end the last over and a biggie to begin this one. Dances down the track and stays inside the line of the ball. He whips it over the mid-wicket fence for a biggie.

17.07 IST: Washington Sundar to Rishabh Pant, FOUR! The last ball spoils the over! Short and on middle, it sits up to be hit. Pant goes back and pulls it in the gap in the mid-wicket region for a boundary. 9 from this one.

* Strategic break! It has been a smooth sailing for Delhi but they have lost the wicket of Shikhar Dhawan at the wrong time. Rishabh Pant and Shreyas Iyer would look to rebuild and finish the innings on a high. On the other hand, Bangalore have a chance to put brakes and restrict them under 160.

He gets there with a single as he looks to drag his pull but gets an inside edge onto his pads. The ball rolls towards the off side.

Umesh Yadav runs across to his right from deep square leg and does well to stop the ball with a dive. Two runs taken.

16.43 IST: Navdeep Saini to Shikhar Dhawan, FOUR! This time he gets it away from the short mid-wicket fielder. No one in the deep so a boundary. Short and around middle, Dhawan goes back and pulls it hard. Into the 40s is the opener.

16.39 IST: Marcus Stoinis to Shikhar Dhawan, A fortunate couple to end but a good over for Bangalore. They need a couple more like this. This is short and around off, Dhawan looks to drag his pull but only manages an inside edge which hits his pads and rolls to the left of the keeper. Patel fails to stop it. The man from short third man does well to pull it back in and keep it down to two.

* Strategic break! It has been a strong start from Delhi and Shikhar Dhawan has been going great guns. Prithvi Shaw also looked good but could not carry on. On the other hand, Bangalore need to bowl better and stop the flow of runs. The best way to do that is by picking wickets. Also, Yuzvendra Chahal is back into the attack.

16.14 IST: Umesh Yadav to Prithvi Shaw, OUT! The catch is as clean as a whistle. Umesh Yadav strikes. The change of ends does the trick for him. He bowls another short one but this is closer to the off pole. Shaw picks the wrong ball to cut as there is not a lot of room on offer there. An outside edge is induced which directly hits the chest of Patel.

This time there is width offered outside off, Shaw pounces on it and he cuts it past the diving point fielder for a boundary. Poor by Sundar, if he is bowling quick, he needs to bowl it on the stumps. If he offers width, it would be easy for the batter.

16.05 IST: Washington Sundar to Prithvi Shaw, FOUR! SMASHED! Shaw dances down the track, Sundar bowls it short. Shaw does well to adjust and hit it over the bowler's head for a boundary. First for the right-hander.
