South Africa pacer Dale Steyn backed Australia to take the honours in the upcoming four-match Test series against India.
Steyn feels that India have traveled too much this year and that could take a toll on their performance Down Under.
"I'd probably go with Australia, just in terms of history against India. The amount of touring they (India) have had this year, the guys might be a bit tired," Steyn told cricket.com.au.
This year, India toured South Africa for three Tests and T20Is each and six ODIs. India played well but lost the Test series 1-2 but humiliated the home side 5-1 in the ODI series and bagged the three-match T20 series 2-1.
In England, India won the T20I series 2-1 but lost the three-match ODI series by the same margin and was outplayed 4-1 by the hosts in the five-match Test series. In total, India have played 11 Tests and won five -- two versus West Indies and one each against South Africa, Afghanistan and England.
However, the 35-year-old was impressed how the Indian team performed in England and felt the India seamers can hurt the home side if they maintain their form.
"Even in England, I put my money on England to beat India in England, but India pushed them. I thought that England's bowling would be the thing that pipped India, but India's bowling really surprised me and if they continue in that vein they could cause some trouble down here," Steyn said.
The pacer also backed Virat Kohli to score runs in the four-match series.
"It's going to be an interesting Test series, and if Virat (Kohli) scores runs and we know Virat always scores runs -- India will do well," he said.
The first Test of the four-match series starts on December 6 at the Adelaide Oval.
