Committee of Administrators' member Diana Edulji has rubbished all reports and has stated the COA will need more time to discuss the matter. Reports had earlier emerged that Team India captain Virat Kohli requested the BCCI to allow the players' wives and girlfriends (WAGs) to accompany them on overseas tours.
On the matter which has been surfacing around the BCCI and Indian cricket team for a while now has been cleared as reports had earlier emerged that the BCCI had granted players to bring their wives and girlfriend but only 10 days after the tour begins.
"No decision. More opinion will be taken. May take some more time. All news floating around is false," said Edulji, according to ANI.
Earlier, it was learnt through reports that Kohli had requested the BCCI to allow their wives and girlfriends to accompany them for the entire tour rather than the two weeks
Cricket Australia had also introduced a similar rule in 2015 when their CEO James Sutherland had allowed WAGs to give company to the players despite their presence being stated as one of the reasons behind Australia's downfall in the Ashes series back then.
