The second One Day International of the six-match series saw the hosts succumb to their lowest total at home after a brilliant performance by the Indian spinners. Yuzvendra Chahal collected his maiden five-wicket haul in One Day Internationals as his outstanding figure of 5/22 saw South Africa go all-out for 118. No batsmen went past the 25 run mark as JP Duminy and Khaya Zondo contributed 25 runs to help the Proteas project a score past the hundred run mark.

Chahal's victims was opener Quintin de Kock (20), JP Duminy (25), Khaya Zondo (25), Chris Morris (14) and Morne Morkel (1).
The hosts suffered a double blow when de Kock and Aiden Markram were sent back off successive deliveries. Chahal dismissed de Kock when the left-hander miscued an attempted pull off the last ball of the 13th over, only to find Hardik Pandya at deep square leg.
Markram played another poor shot off the opening ball of the very next over to hand Kuldeep his first wicket of the day.
Kuldeep dismissed David Miller later in the same over to leave the hosts struggling at 51/3.
Duminy and Zondo tried to steady the innings but both fell prey to Chahal who was proving to be unplayable at times.
The South African lower order could not put up much of a resistance as the hosts folded up their innings in just 32.2 overs.
The Proteas were led by Test batsman Aiden Markram who made his debut as skipper for the hosts, saw his side score the lowest total at home.
