Here is some piece of information that you would not hear of on a daily basis but the headline is as accurate as it gets. Indian skipper Virat Kohli is the most searched cricketer in Pakistan, according to Google Trends.

In the Google Trends list, Kohli was followed by Pakistan skipper Sarfraz Ahmed, pacer Mohammad Amir and batsman Ahmed Shehzad.

The rivalry is still intact but the 28-year old right-handed swashbuckler is known to have a healthy relationship with players outside the country as his fan following continues to grow in the cricket-obsessed sub-continent.

Kohli led India in the ICC Champions Trophy final where the Men in Blue suffered a humiliating loss to Pakistan which saw them being crowned champions. As media reports suggest, the Indian skipper did congratulate them after they lifted the trophy.

Kohli, who has been rested for the remainder of the Sri Lanka tour after winning the Test series 1-0 (two matches drawn), recently tied the knot with Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma in a private ceremony in Tuscany, Italy. The duo are currently on their honeymoon (whereabouts unknown) and will return to India to host two reception in Mumbai (21 December) and Delhi (26 December).

Pakistan pacer Mohammad Amir wished the duo on their marriage.

Kohli will be back in action in the beginning of January next year when India travels to South Africa for three Tests, six ODIs and three T20Is. Kohli will resume his role as skipper as Rohit Sharma leads Team India in the ODIs and T20Is against Sri Lanka.
