Bangladesh's Mustafizur Rahman set to miss IPL 2019 after BCB denies NOC
Mustafizur Rahman was not granted a NOC by the Bangladesh Cricket Board in a bid to keep him fit for the 2019 World Cup in England and Wales.
Bangladesg pacer Mustafizur Rahman will not be a part of the upcoming auction for the Indian Premier League 2019 after the Bangladesh Cricket Board refused to grant him an NOC.
The BCB had decided not to provide an NOC to the pacer back in June due to fitness concerns ahead of the World Cup next year in England and Wales.
He was told that he will be kept fresh for national duty and that meant, he would have to miss overseas T20 tournaments for a period of two years
Mustafizur played an important role in Sunrisers Hyderabad's title-winning campaign in 2016. He picked up 17 wickets from 16 games but just played on game in the following season. Earlier this year, in the mega-auction, Mumbai Indians picked up and he played seven games before a hairline fracture to his toe ruled him out.
He was then one of the 10 players released by Mumbai Indians ahead of the 2019 IPL auction.
10 Bangladesh players including Tamim Iqbal, Mushfiqur Rahim and Shakib Al Hasan have been granted an NOC for IPL 12.
