Following a memorable debut with the ball, Arjun Tendulkar - son of India's batting icon Sachin Tendulkar - had a nightmarish outing with the bat in the ongoing first Youth Test for India U-19 against Sri Lanka U-19 in Colombo.

Arjun was dismissed for naught on the fifth delivery of the 124th over. He faced 11 balls before being caught at short-leg.

Ironically, Arjun's father and arguably one of the greatest batsmen ever, Sachin, was also dismissed for a zero on his ODI debut.

Contrary to his awful batting debut, Arjun had to wait for just 12 balls for his first wicket when he trapped Lankan opener Kamil Mishara plumb in front of the wicket on the last ball of his second over.

Meanwhile, India U-19 posted a mammoth 589 in reply to Sri Lanka U-19's first innings score of 244.

Ayush Badoni was the star performer for India, scoring an unbeaten 185 runs. Badoni missed out on a well-deserved double hundred after he ran out of partners.

Other noteable contributions came from opener Atharwa Taide (113), captain Anuj Rawat (63) and Nehal Wadhera (82).

The Indian bowlers will now look to quickly wrap up Sri Lanka U-19.
