In the opening match of T10 league 2018, cricket fans witnessed a havoc created by Afghanistan wicketkeeper Mohammad Shahzad. Playing for the Rajputs, Shahzad thrashed the Sindhis bowlers all over the park during his record-breaking knock of 74* runs in just 16 balls. While the veteran destructive batsman Brendon McCullum played a second fiddle to him in the 95-run chase.

Shahzad smashed the fastest fifty in the T10 cricket in just 12 balls and also made the highest score in the format. The 30-year-old's knock was studded with eight sixes and six fours.

While batting first, the Sindhis put up a total of 94/6 with skipper Shane Watson scoring highest 42 runs for them. 

Chasing a 95-run target, the Afghan power-hitter just wanted to finish the match as soon as possible as the Rajputs chased down the total in just four overs without losing any wicket. Apart from Shahzad, skipper McCullum scored 21 runs in 8 balls.

Recently retired India pacer Munaf Patel was the pick of the bowlers for the winning team as he scalped three for just 20 runs and started his new cricketing journey with an absolute bang.
