An inspired spell of seam bowling from captain Jason Holder helped put the West Indies in complete control on the second day of the second and final test against Bangladesh on Friday.

After the home team compiled 354 in its first innings, Bangladesh was bowled out for a meagre 149 in reply with Holder taking 5-44 in 10.1 overs.

He removed skipper Shakib Al Hasan for 32, Mahmudullah for nought, Mushfiqur Rahim for 24, Taijul Islam for 18 and Abu Jayed for nought. Opener Tamim Iqbal top-scored for the tourists with 47.

West Indies, 1-0 up in the series, then reached the close of play on 19-1 in its second innings.

First-innings centurion Kraigg Brathwaite was the only batsman to fall, bowled by Shakib for eight. Devon Smith was 8 not out and Keemo Paul unbeaten on nought.
