Communal tension in Udaipur
Members of several Hindu outfits also protested the stabbing, intensifying the communal tension in the area. The unrest prompted swift action from the district administration. On Saturday, authorities, accompanied by police personnel, used JCB machines to demolish the house of the accused boy. Officials stated that the house was built on forest land, justifying the demolition under existing regulations.
Police step up amid escalating tension
As the tension escalated in the evening, markets were shut in Bapu Bazar, Hathipole, Ghanta Ghar, Chetak Circle and nearby areas.
