Rajasthan Election Results 2024: BJP misses clean sweep hattrick, got reduced to 14 seats
As per the latest trends from the Election Commission of India, the Bharatiya Janata Party is suffering a huge loss in Rajasthan. Congress party and other parties including Independent candidates are giving a tough competition to the BJP.
As the counting of votes ends for the state, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) suffered a huge loss in Rajasthan Lok Sabha elections 2024. As per the Election Commission declared results, the party has won 14 seats. Its major competitor Congress won 8 seats. Apart from these two, CPI (M)'s Amraram won Sikar with a margin of 72,896 votes. In Nagaur, Hanuman Beniwal of Rashtriya Loktantrik Party (RLP) won with a margin of 42,225 votes. Moreover, Raj Kumar Rout from Bharat Adivasi Party (BAP) won Banswara by a margin of 2,47,054 votes.
What happened in 2019?
In the previous General Elections in 2019, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-led NDA clinched all the 25 seats in the state. Not only in 2019, Modi-led BJP had the similar result in 2014 as the party clinched all 25 seats in the General Elections. As per the latest trend, BJP's Manju Sharma has clinched Jaipur Lok Sabha constituency by a huge margin of over 2,25,000 votes.
As per the India TV-CNX Exit Poll results, the BJP was likely to win 21-23 seats of the total 25 seats in the state. While the rival Congress was expected to settle with 2-4 seats.
