In a tragic development, BJP MLA from Rajasthan's Salumber constituency, Amritlal Meena, 65, passed away due to cardiac arrest Wednesday night.
The party sources said, that after the BJP MLA complaint of chest pain last night, he was admitted to the MB Government Hospital in Udaipur but was declared dead after the doctors conducted preliminary examination in the hospital.
'Irreparable loss for the BJP family'
Meanwhile, leaders across the BJP Rajasthan political fraternity condoled the sad demise of the BJP Salumber MLA. Taking to X (formerly Twitter), Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma said, Meena's demise will be irreparable loss for the BJP family.
"I am shocked by the news of the demise of BJP MLA from Salumber Assembly Constituency, Shri Amrit Lal Ji Meena due to heart attack. This is an irreparable loss for the BJP family. I pray to Almighty God to give his holy soul a place in his feet and provide strength to his family members in this hour of grief," the CM said.
Further, former chief minister Vasundhara Raje also expressed her condolences on Meena's passing. Raje said Meena raised the voice of the tribal community and his death was an irreparable loss for the party. It is pertinent to note that Meena was a tribal leader and a three-time MLA. He was first elected to the House in 2013.
