Congress, 'Ghamandiya' alliance partners are against women's reservation: PM Modi at Jaipur rally
PM Modi at a BJP rally asserted he could clearly see that there would be a change in Rajasthan. The PM also attacked I.N.D.I.A bloc over Sanatan Dharma row.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed a public meeting on the outskirts of Jaipur today (September 25) and attacked the Ashok Gehlot-led Congress government in the state. The PM said the Gehlot government deserved zero marks for the work it had done. This rally will mark the end of 'Parivartan Sankalp Yatras' taken out by the BJP in poll-bound Rajasthan.
Targeting the Congress government, PM Modi said the Gehlot government wasted 5 important years of Rajasthan's youth.
"People in Rajasthan decided to replace the Congress government with BJP," he asserted.
PM Modi hailed the Chandrayaan-3 success at the BJP rally. He also asserted it was people's votes that empowered the government to pass the historical Women's Reservation Bill.
"Congress never wanted the Women's Reservation Bill to be passed in the Parliament, had they wanted, they could have done it 30 years ago," he added. The PM added that the Congress party backed the bill now under pressure from women.
"People of Rajasthan have made up their minds to become free from misgovernance and corruption of Congress government," said the PM.
"I can clearly see that there will be a change in Rajasthan. The Parivartan Yatra held in every corner of the state received a lot of support from the people, which indicates that the weather of Rajasthan has changed," he said.
"'Ghamandia gathbandhan' (referring to I.N.D.I.A bloc) decided to insult Sanatan Dharma, people will uproot them for their deeds," he attacked the Opposition alliance.
Attacking the Gehlot government on the law and order situation, he said people would never vote for a government that cannot protect their mothers and sisters.
"We gave a guarantee of stringent action against corruption. Today, everyone can see the action taken against those involved in corruption," said PM Modi.
"Incidents of paper leak have brought shame to Rajasthan. Congress government is protecting the paper-leak mafia. I assure you that the BJP government will take stringent action against the paper-leak mafia," said the PM.

Meanwhile, the Parivartan Sankalp Mahasabha was held on Monday, which is also the birth anniversary of Bharatiya Jana Sangh leader Deendayal Upadhyaya. The Prime Minister also paid tributes to Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya on his birth anniversary in Dhankya before addressing the public rally.
Centre committed to the development of Rajasthan
Taking to social media platform X, the Prime Minister said that the Centre is committed to the development of Rajasthan. He said the pledge taken by the BJP workers to change the government in Rajasthan will open the doors of all-round development in the state. "Our government is committed to the development of Rajasthan. The resolve of change taken by our party workers here is going to open the doors of all-round development in the state. To further strengthen this resolution, we will get an opportunity to participate in the 'Parivartan Sankalp Mahasabha' in Jaipur," said PM Modi.
Parivartan Sankalp Yatras
The 'Parivartan Sankalp Yatra' was launched by the BJP earlier this month in Jaipur. The BJP's four 'parivartan yatras' covered all the 200 Assembly constituencies in the state and covered over 9,000 km, thus reaching out to over 1 crore people in the state, with the BJP eyeing the state Assembly polls.
The first yatra was flagged off by party president JP Nadda from Ranthambore, Sawai Madhopur on September 2, and the second by Union Home Minister Amit Shah from Beneshwar Dham in Dungarpur on September 3.
The third yatra was launched by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh from Ramdevra in Jaisalmer on September 4, and the fourth by Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari from Gotamedi, Hanumangarh on September 5.
Rajasthan is scheduled to go to the polls later this year with the BJP and the incumbent Congress locked in a straight fight. In 2018 the Congress won 99 seats while the BJP won 73 seats in the 200-member house. The Congress led by Ashok Gehlot formed the government with the support of Independents and the BSP.
