In case the parliament is in session and a member complains of any major health problem, then he can be immediately rushed to the VIP ward of Ram Manohar Lohia hospital that is exclusively reserved for Members of Parliament.
The MPs are supposed to be rushed to the hospital using the two ambulances that are on alert round the clock.
When Sonia Gandhi complained of uneasiness and chest pain, she too should have been sent to the hospital using the parliament ambulances but this was not done.
Why was the established norm not followed? What if anything serious could have happened before she could reach the hospital? Who would have been held responsible, had things gone wrong for Sonia Gandhi?
